    Default New to me Machine

HI All, I just picked up a new-to-me machine, did research and seems to be a Nishijin 1973 Super DX. Here are some pics. electrics work but I will re-wire a bit more solidly. Needs a cleaning and I will inspect the back bits and clean them as well. Where do you all recommend getting some engraved pachinko balls?

see attached pics and please let me know if you see anything that stands out.

    thanks!

Nice Model A, looks to be complete with all covers as well. I do notice your lower dump tray appears to not be attached ( metal tray on back lower right) and if you dump the balls they may end up all over the floor.

ebay for balls is a good source, also a few members here have web sites that sell balls.

Nice machine. It looks pretty clean as-is. Ebay is where I've bought balls in the past.

Other than getting balls with machines bought from others I too used eBay. My best prices were thru seller pachinkopagoda. I don't know if they still have the best prices though but larger volumes are cheaper. Look closely at the ads as they have many with new and used balls, both engraved and plain.

Hi everone. I was able to try the machine out and the ball feeder to the shooting mechanism is not feeding smoothly....requires a bit of jiggling for the ball to come down the ramp into the loading area. see pic. I did look at the back area, what do I need to remove to access, and any tips on what to clean better or look for? any specific lubricating needed in this area?

the light, bell and payout seem to work ok, the ball dump tray and that dump route need to be a bit smoother also.

    THANKS !

open the glass front and the shooter tray should have a push down tab on the non hinge side.. push the tab down and the shooter trya will swing open jsut like the grass does.. giving your full accesses..

    no lube required!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! none needed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

clean it clean it clean it

    Nice Model A!

If you don't have enough pachinko balls, the flag will try to block the shooting loader.
There is an importer users manual on the site for the model A.

Seems like there is a better Model A manual on this site that has very good information on adjusting the Model A.
Once set up; it will be a very reliable machine for you.

I'll look for the other Model A User Manual; but for now click on User Manuals, then click on Vintage Maunals at the top of this website...

Thanks for the assistance! I was able to open both the front doors and cleaned the boog from the inner loading ramp. **the rear dump tray doesn't flow well, that will need to be the next item to address. otherwise all went well, balls shooting smoothly, payout working, lights and bell working. I will print the manual, I have a binder of info started.
