    Default New Pachislo owner - just bought myself a Gundam

    Hi guys, found your forum after finding a Pachislo machine local to me and Google sent me your way

    Anyway, I won the auction, actually, the same seller had two for sale and I won them both, but I'll concentrate on this one for now as it's working

    I got myself a Gundam, which looking on here seem to be a popular machine, after working out that they are 100v machines, I decided to try it on 110v via a 240v to 110v transformer and everything seams to be happy at that, I've followed instructions on here and worked out how to sort of play it, load up the hopper, then paying in via the coin slot to increase the credits to a maximum of 50, pull the lever to start the spin, stop with the reel buttons and fingers crossed I win!

    On looking closely at the machine, it looks like it's been damp at some time in the past, the base of it has been replaced with a bit of white conti board, the door lock has been removed and as such the door interlock micro switch is just hanging, but it makes no difference if the switch is operated or not, the main power supply in the bottom left looks fine electrically but the casing has had a slot cut into it, and that's what I've found so far

    Everything else's looks fine, including the lcd screen, so for now I'm asking what all the switches for on the power supply, I've only found so far that the top on at the back is the hopper empty, and the key switch must be the programming one but then I will don't know how to program it from there.

    I've uploaded two quick videos to YouTube, if I can link them to here, and a few pictures of the internals for you to check out

    Thanks

    Rob

    Welcome Aboard

    I'm surprised Hanabi hasn't posted abount the switches yet.

    The loose switch looks a bit like a door open contact switch. But might be wrong.

    It's probably the soft reset switch

    @Drunkenclam, Do you mean these switches :

    Two switches on the power supply:
    - One requires a soft reset at the end of a bonus.
    - The other pays out all tokens at the end of a bonus.

    For these switches in most cases off is in the down or right position. The for off and on are:

    無 = off

    有 = on

    I believe most people just leave them off..

    One will stop your slot from working after a Bonus until its reset..The other will spit out all your credits.. These things are for parlors that make you stop using a machine after a Big Bonus, I believe..not sure how common that is these days..

    Thanks guy's

    The machine went down a treat, everyone loved it

    Only issue we had was that we would play for ages without winning, then all of a sudden you would win every time - it would payout to credit until you hit the max of 50 credits, then start paying out from the hopper, which was great until the hopper was empty and it went into hopper empty mode which could only be reset by operating the door interlock micro switch - it also didn't help that during the 'winning period' it went from 3 credits down to 1 credit for each spin,so you couldn't use the credits quickly enough for the payout. Very strange indeed

    Anyway, here's another picture for your delight

    That was either a Big Bonus, or a Regular Bonus. Due to Japanese gambling laws, a machine can not pay out more than 15 tokens per spin, but no limit in the number of consecutive 15 token payouts. So unlike American slots, where you hope for the big payout all at once, these machines make you win many small payouts in a row. there is probably a law that makes you have to insert a token to spin as well...except for the replay spin. However I am not sure about that.
    That being said...Welcome to Pachitalk!

    Loving your Pachislo! These look so cool. I’m hoping to receive my first machine later in the week!
