Default Sankyo Pachinko machine gets indigestion

Hi everyone! I have Armageddon by Sankyo.

When my Play tray gets full, it keeps getting backed up. Instead of properly draining into the receiving tray automatically like it used to, it gets all backed up and causes the machine to get errors. The only way to fix it seems to be to use the play tray slider to drain it manually, or to open the front glass and lower area and have the balls spill out everywhere. Neither of these are desirable while playing during a fever.

The flow of balls is inconsistent. Some times it will drop a few balls down, but mostly it gets all jammed and backed up. I looked at it earlier and I didn't see anything out of place. I'll add pictures in a post below.

Does anyone know how I can restore natural flow to my machine? Does anyone have a picture of what a proper one is supposed to look like? I don't notice anything different now compared to how It used to be. It used to work fine and I don't remember changing anything

Is that bale movable? Is it automatic or can it be adjusted?

Do you mean that little metal bar? Yeah! It is spring loaded and folds down when the door is fully closed. You can see some scuffs from where it rubs when closed. I Took a thin screwdriver and pushed it down as I closed the door once, and couldn't get it any more closed than it normally does. The machine still didn't want to drain properly.

Does it move completely out of the way? If it isn't too difficult, you could try to remove it and see how it does then. Just remember to empty the tray before opening the door

I'll try removing it and seeing if that gets me anywhere. It does fold completely down but I don't see anything else it could possibly be! This is a machine I lent a friend so I'll probably be over there over the weekend. I'll try to fix it while i'm there. Thanks

Just to take a stab at it, the bar looks to have a slight bow in it. Should it be completely straight across where it is spanning the balls?

Okay I fixed it! I tried removing the bar but it did nothing. So I decided to go deeper!

This is a picture of the back of the machine. When the playing tray gets full they redirect to that left passageway and go down to the lower receiving tray.

The plastic broke at some point and the previous owner looks to have fixed it with weak masking tape and cardboard.

I have fixed it by cutting up a 2 liter soda bottle and with some wood pieces and epoxy.

Thanks for the help everyone! I'll be closing this thread now as per the rules!
