Default I know this is a bad idea, but... Anyone mounted a game outside?

    Hi all

So I'm retiring after 26 years in the military. I'm downsizing and moving to Florida, and I'm trying to figure out what to do with my Top Gun pachinko. I really want to keep it but I'm not sure I'll have the space inside.

But... I have plenty of outdoor living space. So, I'm wondering, has anyone mounted a machine outside? It will be covered. But hot. And humid. I could put it in the garage, but same issues.

    Anyone have experience with this?

I have never tried it, but I have seen a number of vintage machines that have sat on covered porches and it was never pretty. If you have no other choice I would think the garage is preferable to a covered patio that is exposed to more elements, dirt, debris, animals, birds, etc. I am not sure where you'll be located in Florida, but if you are near the coast you'll also need to consider the salt air and the damage it will cause to electronics.

Have you ever played pachinko games on a video game system? It's definitely not the same as sitting at a machine, but you might want to give it a try to see if that might be a viable solution to your space issues. I sometimes play at night when the noise from an actual machine would keep people awake.

balls would rust in no time not to mention internal metal parts and trim. Also, would be a great home for insects and spiders inside the enclosed parts

All great points. Sometimes you just have to say something out loud before you know it's a bad idea.

    Btw, Air Force.

    Thanks.

And don't forget, also, all the channels and covered areas are great homes for spiders, etc.
