    Default New machine, HELP!

    Pachinko.jpgPachinko 2 .jpgpachinko 3.jpg
Hey y'all! I am totally clueless about these machines, but I am trying to learn about this one I just picked up. I know it's Hokoku, but I am unsure of how to find the year or value. I was hoping all you experts could help!

Looks like it's a Showa 53. Add 25 to that, minus one for the time in the parlor, probably made in 1977.
Pachinko -Nishijin "C" Fishing Game & Hockey, Red Lions, CR Red Lions, Heiwa Double Wing, Takao Bruce Lee, SanseiR&D 777 Sevens Rock, Sankyo Wanted!, lots of other vintages!; Pachislo -SPIN LUCK, Kung Fu Lady, Gamera High Grade, Gundam

These machines are pretty much whatever someone's willing to pay. Condition will be a biggie. Must say though it has a unique payout system, not too many of those around.

You have a huge ball jam! To get the best price, you will have to clear out the balls, and hopefully make it work. Generally most mechanical machines do work, just jammed with balls in all the wrong places. The electrical connections are for 10 volts, and are not necessary unles you want the lights to work. I don't know why the Hokoku uses 2 terminal blocks, and they have more switches than normal. I think it is to stagger the win light sequence...like 1st the center light, then the 2 outer ones. Not sure as I haven't tested the wiring on my Hokoku.
Here is mine. http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...ghlight=hokoku Maybe it will help you learn more about yours.

second.. neat machine.. love the strange back side.. totally unusual.. also love the strange non typical nail pattern and tulip location.. value is still damn hard location condition location condition.. your looks to might have some slight water damage on the lower frame?? Cool machine value is better then a standard machine i would ask 150 or so for it.. (working condition)

Your machine has a water stained cell, water damaged frame, chips on the corner of the front face and rusted chrome. All of these things are not terribly unusual for a machine from the 70's, but I'd say you have closer to $50 in value than $150. Just my opinion. I hope you do better than that if you do decide to sell, but I wouldn't count on it. I think the Hokoku's are cool because you can see the jackpot dump at the top of the cell. It's a cool feature that they seem to have included on all of their machines that I have seen.

I'm gonna split the difference. I feel it is worth more than $50 (working), But (myself) would be a little pressed to pay $150. I'm gonna go with $100, and since I paid $103 for mine...I'm sticking with that estimate.
That being said...in locations that are suffering a pachinko drought, like Canada for example...prices will be higher. In flooded markets, like California, prices will be lower.
Thats why Mopar has so many awesome machines!

Well I paid $20 at a flea market, so I guess I did okay regardless. Shipping is the killer though. I bought one for $40 and resold it for $150, but had to tack on $90 for shipping! I honestly have never seen one work, we bought the first one on a fluke and did well so we scooped this one up!

Ditto. Located in central Illinois myself. Neat machine. I'd probably pay 50 as is, 75 if the machine works. Unless your going to do a full on restore I don't think you'd get much more in at least my area of Illinois
