I literally can't see the tiny thumbnails on my cell phone...and you cant enlarge them. So, I have to post the pic, then check it out on my desktop...then comment on what I posted. I ran out of time on the above post, so all I typed was lost.
The 1st 2 pics are sideways pics of cell damage. The last pic was a mistake, I posted a pic that I couldnt see, and tried to delete it.

20170831_213050.jpg20170831_213100.jpg Instead of a hinged door that dumps jackpots... it has a brass bar that drops down to release the JP. Pic#1, JP open. Pic #2, JP mostly closed. I left it partially open because you can't see it when closed.

20170831_213050.jpg oOPS, ALREADY POSTED THIS PIC. The lever below the jackpot moves a diverter inside the funnel. I'm sure it is for removing all the balls... but have not put a single ball in yet, so...untested.
WOW! Extremely dificult to do this on phone! Going to see if I can make camera work.

Looks like it needs some love but at least it seems to be all there.

Can you post some more pictures of that tray feeding the lifter? I'm interested to see how it is feeding / aligning the balls. Oh and internals of the lifter once your fully crack into it.

    100 machines and counting...

AAH the ball lifter! The part EVERYONE wants to see. Of course I have opened it up to see myself...and pics of the inside of it are for sale!
Just kidding. I can take a couple of pics with my stupid smartphone. I have more pics I took yesterday with it...but it got too frustrating trying to post them from cellphone. Unless there is a way to load them into my laptop. My real camera keeps saying "write error". Maybe I'll delete about 100 old pics from the SD card and try again.

When I took the cover off of the ball lifter, I was surprised to see that it was a rubber wheel rather than a gear!

OK! It (the phone) wouldn't let me post the last pic I tried, so I just posted what I had. It put all yhe pics in the attached thumbnails box and deleted almost everything I typed! It is on a workbench, so the top tray is overhead. The 1st pic is me holding the camera over my head and shooting down into the top tray...at an angle because the 3 pieces of wood that almost makes a cabinet covers the top tray. Makes it hard to load balls into it...but if the ball lifter works, then it don't matter. And the pic is upside down. The reason I took it is the top tray is very interesting. It has an overflow channel that diverts the excess balls to the ball dump tube. Probably because when you let "Joe Public" operate the ball lifter...he will continue to crank the handle even if he hears balls falling on the floor. Which he probably won'thear because parlors are so noisey. #2...upside down as well. The ball lifter. I left the curved edge outward just to show that it is hinged...for whatever reason.

interesting concept with the rubber wheel. I think I'd be finding a gear for when that rubber (neoprene?) lets go. If you can take some good measurements I could likely print you one to try. Awesome machine! Super jealous

Pic #3, As you can see, there is a single file channel that balls fall into...obviously stacked. (anyone who has tried to make a ball lifter understands "stacked") The curved wall incorporates a floor/celing...deprnding on if you are discussing the upper part of the tray, or the lower channel. The curved wall holds back the stacked balls only letting a single layer of single file balls.
Pic #4, The rectangle part is another overflow.
Pic #5 is the top tray overflow to the ball dump track that I mentioned earlier.

can't identify ball lifter screws. #6-32 is too big, #4-40 is too small. 4mm is too big, and 3mm seems like the right diameter but wrong pitch. So I bought 3 #6-32 screws and a #6-32 tap. I'll let you know how is goes.

20170901_194807.jpg20170901_194832.jpg 1st pic, holes tapped with #6-32 tap and cover installed with new screws. 2nd pic, Even though I held the phone both ways...all images in my phone's gallery were upright. I chose one...and it is upside down! Anyhow, there is a swing out side panel, secured closed by a spring plate with a hole that snaps over a screwhead. I believe that it is opened with a bucket below it, and cranked to empty the lower tray.

20170901_200957.jpg20170901_201014.jpg20170901_201125.jpg Here is the lower tray that feeds the ball lifter. I need to straighten out the tabs that enter the lifter. They are bent enough to impede ball flow.
