don't you need an agent in Japan to bid on your behalf for YJA auctions?

Think there is 'sticky' in the YJA forum section, which should explain

Hi Scottie, as Hanabi mentioned you most often need an agent or proxy service to purchase items from Japan that are shipping internationally. I've been very happy with the services of "From Japan". They will handle getting your items to their warehouse and then forward them onto you as you instruct. Not always cheap as the international shipping can be high depending on package size and weight. This is the typical setup of all of the agent services. Juno also does a good job. I have not used others yet to offer more comparisons.

    Check out http://www.fromjapan.co.jp/en/
User guide and Q/A guide at the upper right of the web page.

The seller of this item does not deal with international shipping.

Correct, no direct shipping to you or I but to others within Japan. There is one bid for the opening price (and maybe higher) but you still have until 3:11pm eastern time Monday.

If I were to guess on a cost, and it's only a guess, the fees, shipping within Japan, and international fees (other than if customs has any) might total another 150-250 on top of the item cost. Depending on what you know of it and what others are willing to bid up to then is it worth 500, 600, or more in your currency? FromJapan is very easy and fast to set up. They take PayPal and credit cards (no debit cards yet).

wish i would have read this thread earlier but as others have said, you can't utilize yja without a proxy bidder unless you live in japan. do a search for juno. he's a proxy bidder and ive used him many times in the past. he'll ask the seller questions for you, etc.

It's a really easy process. You essentially pay Juno a deposit or you max bid and he does all the rest.
You pay shipping from seller to Juno and then from Juno to you plus Juno's commission. He'll send the tracking info and once it gets to the states you track it via the USPS.

I did hear back from Juno....he told me he check it at 4am his time and it was allready over (it went for 30,000 ...1 bid

So if i understand it right i send any and all money to juno , price of item and shipping and they pay the seller....

Juno will ask for some or all of the required money up front and any leftover he'll refund you. Once you worked with him a few times he may just ask for a deposit. So yes, Juno bids on your behalf, and if he wins you pay the associated fees and shipping costs. He will snipe for you but many if not most auctions on YJA have the auction stop time extended by I think 15 or so minutes when a bid comes in within 10 minutes of auction close. So because of that it's not quite the same as eBay sniping. This is to give other bidders a chance to bid again. It's sucks but it's just how they do it.
In short, it's an incredibly simple process. You copy and paste the auction page and send it to Juno and pay for the item/fees when he gets back to you.
    He handles everything else.
