Default Star Wars R2D2 - What is the 7 segment display for?

There is a 2 digit 7 segment display on both the star wars and the indiana jones pachinko machines on the playfield . What are they intended to display?

    thanks

    Welcome to the forum!

Would you be so kind as to post photos of these areas in question?

In the lower right area of the game board. I seem to be having issues uploading pics at the moment.

I don't own these machines unfortunately, but have played them. I don't remember a play area that ever remained dark. Are you sure there is not a fuse out or something loose?

I'm just looking for a photo so I can more clearly understand what your talking about.

Even if you upload your photos to the internet (via FB or Google profile) and link them here...that would help.

Aren't those two digits just to display error codes?

isn't that maybe the Sub-Roulette thing?

pretty sure there is an explanation somewhere here on the site, just got to locate it

or maybe it's something else (error codes are usually on the back, so don't think it's an error indicator)

Does it ever display anything else? or is it always the same?

Talking Re: Star Wars R2D2 - What is the 7 segment display for?

Oh ok...so it does light up. Just with two red dots.

I think the multiple little "circles" (to the left) are lights that have to do with fever and illuminate depending on how many back-up balls you scored for spins (hard to remember) and those two dot lights to the right that look like they can hold numbers track payout...

So you are saying they never light up? Are you sure you have hot all bonus modes? There are some that only turn on after hitting all other modes (very time consuming). I also know guys who have owned a machine for years and still not seen "everything" it does. They find new stuff each day...

I'm sorry, because I'm sure that's not a specific enough answer for you. Hopefully someone else can chime-in. Again I don't on the machine but I have played that one before but I seem to remember everything lighting up.

Sure the subbie on that one is an x or o to one side of the playing field. Might be a jackpot indicator code.

Anyhow. It serves no real purpose for home environment.
The fact the display is on showing-- means. I wouldn't worry about it.

The silly thing is, I actually have Star Wars wall mounted on the living room wall but it's been emptied of pachinko balls for now, (was getting cleaned and didn't want the young doggy eating them) so not able to test it and see. (Also have Indy in the garage in storage too)

But I just don't recall ever noticing those segments before, I just play the pachinko, admire the pretty lights and am way too busy having fun and watching the screen to notice what the other boring stuff is for, obviously the banked spins are interesting, but the other segments, i just don't know?

They're jackpot indicators, they usually show '--' but may change to show other patterns during fever rounds. The patterns correspond to the type of fever round it is and what mode will follow the fever round (and the likelihood of getting another back-to-back fever round from the following high probability round).

The patterns may look random, but there are Japanese sites where the super-dedicated pachinko fans map out the patterns with what they represent, and they can be useful to professional players, who can use them to decide whether to keep playing a machine after a winning streak or whether it's time to quit while they are ahead.
