I know the $2.99 a month site says that the percentages are based on 10,000 coin tests, but I don't think that's how the Japanese percentages are done.

At one time the Japanese rules said something like the payout range had to be no less than 55% and no more than 120% based on 17,500 or more games played with the maximum amount bet and the buttons struck at random. So I think the Japanese percentages are based on at least 17,500 games played.
