    Default Woody Woodpecker

Can anyone tell me how to test the ability of my newly purchased machine to payout a jackpot.
I have loaded the payout box internally and managed to get 555 on the reels on screen. The machine went crazy for quite a time with all lights, cartoons and sound blazing but no payout......should it have paid out on the three 5's?

yes, about 2000 balls, there a door that opens, each ball that lands in it, pays 15 balls, and it stays open for 15 rounds, did you keep shooting balls after you got a 3 of a kind (aka a FEVER) if you did, you should have won lots of balls, if you just watched the cartoon and light show, you wouldn't win anything due to no balls going in pocket that opens during fever round

Are you getting no payouts at all, 3 for the start 10 for the side pockets?

No I didn't carry on playing just watched the light and sound show(:
I am only playing 1 ball at a time is that not correct?
By opening pockets do you mean the centre hole two wings come out like a flower opening!

No, I thought only jackpots were paid by getting balls in the centre cup then when reels spin and push button lights up and hope for 3 numbers that match.

Underneath the flower opening pocket there should be a trap door that opens and closes at the beginning and every round during the jackpot video. You should have seen it counting through the rounds on the screen, The last round normally has differnt music. There are normally 15 rounds to a jackpot, again this varies on teh spec of the machine,

The trap door stays open for a set time or untill 8 (depend on model) balls go in. The trap door closes, Thats the end of the round, Then opens again to start the next round.
Moden pachis, its best to just keep firing, The only time its good to stop is during a reach video and you have banked the maximum start pocket spins.

here a hint, never stop shooting, twist handle to where seems best power, and hold that spot moving it slightly back and forth, its automatic and will shoot balls every 2 seconds

    Hello Quester,

    Getting a bit frustrated now.......
To try to emulate a jackpot I opened the front door and dropped balls into the various cups including the centre one .....still no 15 ball payout. I opened the two flaps either side of the centre hole and dropped balls into them, still no payout, plenty of cartoons, spinning wheels lights and noise.
The payout box at the back is full and it ejects one ball every time I power it up so it can't be jammed.
This is a cry for help.

    Phil

You should get 3 balls paid out for the start pocket. The sensor in the pocket must be working because you are getting reel spins.
I would start working backwards from the ball tank to the payout motor, checking and cleaning the ball paths, Possiblely removing the payout assembly and seeing if you can turn it by hand.
I'm unsure of the workings of this machine so can't really advise more than that

    Where are you based?

    Hello Ian,

    Thanks for your quick reply....
I am in the United Kingdom.
As I said the ball tank and motor must work as it pays one ball every time I power it up.
    What is the start pocket?

I'm mean where in the UK, are you near me?

The machine isn't meant to payout on power up, that why a proper inspection may be needed.

The start pocket is the pocket normally in the middle directly under the screen.

Well I'll pick up a daverob dongle first, as then I can use that to test the payouts.
As I work all over the south, I never know what time, But most of my work tomorrow seems to be Farnborough way.
