    Default Gladiator Questions

    Hi Group -

I posted this in the Modern Pachinko folder, but so far have no answers (I was told by a business that I called that the ROMs had to be replaced at a cost of $360 - for the chips alone! ). Anyway, here is my original post:

Just picked up a Gladiator Pachinko, and I am hoping someone here can help with 2 quick questions:

    1) Is there any way to adjust the odds of winning the slot machine portion of the game? (I have spun those reels over 100 times with no winners!)

    2) Is there a way to disable the automatic shooter? I tried unpluging the shooter motor, but then I can't even shoot 1 ball.

Thanks for ANY help / advise you can give!

    Exclamation Re: Gladiator Questions

Actually we did answer your questions before in the other thread you started:

1 : No you have to spread the nails and that will only get you more spins. You would have to have a computer connection of somekind or a way to reprogram the chips to change the odds otherwise.

2: What I do on my Pachinko to get one shot at a time is I turn the shooter knob until I get what I feel is the accurate shot down and then I press on the black lever/button that is just outside of the shooter ring . That stops the auto shooting and then whenever I let go of it it will shoot one ball at a time or several depending on what I want. Your Pachinko may not have that button tho(just out side the metal ring that surrounds the shooter knob(I think it is a ground).

BTW I see gameroommagazine.com still has your web page featured in the gameroom gallery area. Very Nice indeed !

    Thanks for the follow-up!

The game has a port for a computer hook-up, but that's WAAAAY above my pointy little head .

It also looks like there is no way to stop the Autofire on the shooter - no button anywhere near the shooter on Gladiator.

Oh well - I really appreciate the effort & insight!

    Thanks for helping a newbie!

Sure there's a button -- at least there is on all the machines I've seen. It will either be on the side of the shooter (will pop out when you turn it) or it might be up above the shooter knob? Hold the button in while turning the shooter and then release the button to shoot one ball at a time.

    Just a follow-up -

    I found the "pause" button!

It is about the size of a pinhead and black (just like the surrounding plastic). It is flat to the plastic & a little rough - I'm guessing that it was "adjusted" some time in the past, as it is now almost invisible and unusable.

Not a big deal really, since I am still trying to figure out a way make the 1 ball-per-shot a system default rather than an active option.

I really want to thank you guys for continually insisting that this button was there - I never would have found it with your pointers.

Thanks, again - and I hope to return the favor one day!
