Red face New Sankyo machine I could use some help with.

Hello Everybody! Thank you for being here!!!
So I just picked up a new machine I'm soooo excited about, but It needs just a little love. I'm new to this type and am kind of stuck. I need to play this one so baaadly and its starting to make me crazy..lol.
First of all... Does anyone have any idea what this playing field and center feature might be called or referred to as? Possibly what the Kanji mean? I've looked all over and never seen one like it. Also... What year(s) do you think it is? I'm guessing early eighties myself. (I've looked all over it trying to decipher the stickers and such but everything is in Japanese.) Would it be considered vintage or modern?
My next issue is with the payout. Everything seems to be working correctly except for the payout. When I picked it up from the seller he said that it needed a solenoid and that he had put a screw in the part where the fuse goes. Here's where it gets sticky, I really have no idea where a solenoid would go or even what it would look like.
I took the screw out of the fuse holder and am trying to figure out what size/kind of fuse would go in there. The fuse holder says 3.5A and the wire connection above it says AC24V. Ive gotten the center feature to work once while still in California and again at home (once while playing and another time in testing), but all three times the payout messed up and it kinda glitched out.
Ive taken this apart once pretty good, made sure there were no jams, seeing how the mechanics work, putting a few things back in order that weren't put back right after the last person had it apart, cleaning it up a little. ...Been searching all over the internet, of course, and am ready to get playing it and discovering all the fun locked up inside.

    Welcome to Pachitalk

neat machine... looks to be from the 80's

once it is pluged in what happens?? any noise at all? any lights flash?? does the payout motor at the bottom back turn??

I see you have pachinko ball loaded in the back hopper.. they work themselfs from the top hopper to the right side of the machine.. there they work downwards to the jackpot payout mech.. you should be able to open a cover / door at that mech.. can you see the balls are making there way into that payout mech??

more detailed pics of the back may help

I have a Thunder Dragon machine in the same frame. The center feature is powered by a fused pair of wires coming down from the top tray.power 001.jpg power 002.jpg It should be getting 24 volts AC. And of course the fuse needs to be good.

Also there is only one speaker, on the front ball tray. Open the glass door...latch in the middle on the right facing the back. The smaller door below with the ball tray on it opens with a push down tab located on the left...only accessible when the glass door is opened. Lower door swings open to the right and you will find a 3 position volume switch inside. learning curve 004.jpg I pulled these from a previous thread I posted when I got the machine. Seems when you do that...they can't be enlarged. I'm going to try to post a link to the thread.
