    Default What is this thing?!

Recently had this passed down to me from a now deceased family member...I have never even heard of "Pachinko" and cant seem to find out much about this model. It seems the lock has been punched out so I cant get the door open to see if everything is inside...I can hear a lot of balls inside but when I put a quarter in only 1 ball comes out..I dont even know where to start with this thing.... thanks for any input...

we are aware there is currently an issue with pic uploads, they are not working in the usual way, it is being investigated.

In the meantime you need to reduce them to get them to work, think maybe down to 800 x 600?

    Hello and welcome.
Nice computer pachinko. I would not plug it in till you can open it and find the loose balls. Balls could short out the circuits. Fun machines when they work.
If the locks been drilled out maybe a screwdriver will release the lock so you can open the door.

I tried sticking a screwdriver inside the punched lock but not sure how the mechanism actually works so no luck...it appears someone has tried to pry the door open but I wouldn't want to damage the wood any more than necessary.

Tried to upload a pic for you but cannot seem to get it to upload no matter what the size.

Check this thread, first post pic 3 you can see the lock mechanism on the far side of the door.

I'm confused, is this the inside of the machine that this thread is about, or is it from another thread? If this is JEEPRAPTER's machine, then LT Teddy is correct............it ain't going anywhere without that board. That said, I have a similar machine right now where the wiring is a mess, but I still hold out hope that it will eventually be repaired. My "Optosensor" is I think a problem, and maybe this machine could be a good parts machine for mine. I will PM...........

Load it in the car and take it to the locksmith. They should be able to pick the lock and either replace, re-key, or remove it for you.

These computer pachinkos are fun. Not quite the same as playing a regular vintage machine where you just keep flipping away winning balls. With the computer pachinko you insert a quarter, the machine gives you a set number of balls and resets all the tulips to open. Then as you hit the various pockets the machine scores 10 for every hit and pays out some additional balls. Once you've closed all the tulips you need to hit the center feature to reopen them all. Once you reach a certain score on the machine you win a free replay.

I had the same issue with mine.....no key. Took it to a locksmith who drilled the bits out and opened it up. Come to find out it was missing pieces once it was opened. Had been a big paperweight in my garage for about 3 years now. I still hold out hope though......

I just pryed the back panel open enough to reach in to open the door. After I cut an access hole to reach the door hinge. No keys either.
