Do the tokens fall thru to the inside or outside of the door? Can you post a picture of the coin mechanism area on your machine?

I would start with a cleaning as dust and gunk will build up. You can easily remove the mech to do this. If you are not sure how to then refer to the yellow box in the first picture below. There should be a metal tab on the upper left to be lifted up and the mech will swing out of the holder, left side first towards the right. A couple molded pins are on the right side so don't turn it to far or hard. There is one wire connector to disconnect. This will make it easier to handle and inspect being out of the machine.

The coin mech should click after a full reset and after each spin indicating that it is ready to accept tokens again. I do not have the same machine but mine is by Aruze which looks to be the same coin mech.

You seem to be missing a cover for the coin mech unless you have it off for your picture. If missing, this deflects rejected tokens downward to the outside bottom tray.

You will want to do a full reset to clear the error code afterwards as well.

Thanks. I have cleaned it. yes I have the cover off. the tokens fall out right at the sensor at the bottom of the run. they dont register as a credit. so if i put the cover back on all of these tokens falling will deflect to the try right?

Yes the cover deflects the tokens to the chute below it and to the outside tray at the bottom of your machine. Did you look at the backside of the mech and all moves freely? Have you been able to do a full or hard reset and heard the coin mech click at the end of that process?

The only other spot I can think of checking is behind the top plate of the coin mech. Look at this picture and where the yellow arrow is on top. You can lift this top plate and it will move up and towards the spring in the upper right corner. Everything should move freely underneath.

The red arrow points to what looks to be a sensor on the back with a couple small holes under the plate and above the sensor. I assume these should be also be clear of debris to work properly.

One other thought is if some tokens work and some don't then try to separate the good ones and see if they consistently work for you. Is so then are the good ones a different style, metal, size or even cleaner than the ones that don't work?

alright this is strange. the tokens he gave me with the statue of liberty on both sides will work. none of my other 1200 will work.

some tokens have a metal mixture that won't work out in some machines. There has also been discussions about thinner tokens that won't travel well thru a coin mech. Cleaning tokens is always an easy option with many posts on how to here on PachiTalk.

I'm glad you are getting some sense of resolution and able to play it more It is a bummer having to reload the hopper so often though.

You can compare tokens by seeing if one type is attracted to a magnet. Also I have heard about a "double cherry" token that does not work well in pachislo machines if this is your other type.

I'm not sure about the FO error code unless it came at the end of a bonus round. Then it may only be needing the outside door key to be turned to the left for a soft reset.

Here is a link to the proper hard reset and odds changing in post #3 by Wayne-Ooo.

Replacement coin mechanisms are pretty much a search on eBay. You can post a wanted to buy in the members trade area as well. http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/foru...ers-Trade-area If I see anything then I will let you know.

thanks. the reset allows me to change the odds. the lever does nothing though. the led is lighting up for it. im beging to thhink these errors are not clearing totally. thus the mech is kicking the tokens back.

I forgot to ask about which model of coin mechanism that you have. Is there a green tag on the back with a letter/number combo like M-1, M-2, etc?

I found a M-2 and a M-4 up for auction in Japan if you are interested. They run $25-$45 by the time all the shipping cost's are added up in getting to the states. Look at the second of three pictures in each link to see what tag I am talking about.
