Default New Member with new-to-me Sanyo Comet II

Hi Everyone, I just picked up what I see to be a mid-70's Sanyo Comet II. it looks to be in good nick and I was able to launch a test ball even. I look forward to getting some restoration assistance from the experts here. Attaching pics which I know are welcome.

Nice looking machine. Check the stick post from JACKSJE4 in the Vintage Pachinko section on cleaning tips; it’s very informative. From what I see in the pictures, it looks like it needs a good cleaning mainly in the front. In addition to what JACKSJE4 mentions in the sticky, I’ve found that Nevr-Dull works wonders on metal, and even plastic parts.

One of my favorite models, the Comet II.

Sometimes, they suffer from the "sticky seesaw"; you will know once you have enough pachinko balls to test it out.

It's missing the lower ramp feed cover; you should make one or buy one.

The lights are optional and do not affect play. Leave them alone or go crazy!

Agreed on the seesaw. I had to attach some fishing weights to one before to get it to reset every time. The seesaw is very light on both sides and prone to randomly resetting otherwise.

OK, hoarder syndrome wins and I picked up another Comet II for $20 simolians. pics attached, upon initial inspection the flipper spring needs attention, and there are a couple other rough bits. Also broke a corner of the glass off.
