Battle Vader how to light all of Crystella frame

I just got my first Pachinko machine and it is the Sankyo Vader Battle (new in box). The demo one in the store had the entire frame lighted up. The salesman said to make sure the jackpot/upper hopper in the back was full of balls in order for the entire frame to show the lights. The problem is when I put balls in the upper hopper in the back they immediately drain out to the bottom back of the unit, so I can keep no balls in the "jackpot/upper back" hopper. I am not sure how to get them to stay in the upper hopper.

Can anyone help?

Bit confused. The Crystella frame held the Advent Vader, Battle of Darth Vader is in the newer frame Evol frame

Anyhow, just close the ball dump and try refilling the back with balls.
On the crystella its the same as the lumina, a white level half way down the back on the righthand side, above the payout motor.
On the evol frame, If I remember, there is a red lever/button, again halfway down the back on the right. I don't have one any more for reference, But I'm sure someone else can confirm the exact look and location.

Thanks. I found the red level and it appears to have two positions and up and down. It was up so I put it in the down position and then filled up the top hopper. The extra front lights came on around the frame but then the balls dumped out into the front lower tray (I guess where the jack pot balls are paid out at). Anything I put balls in the top hopper, they stay there for about one second then dump out to the front lower tray. It is almost like there is not enough pressure to hold them from dumping into the front lower tray.

Any thoughts?

If it is coming out the front, it is paying out past winnings.

Keep filling it up, could be thousands, but eventually should stop.

That did it! I feed a couple of hundred through and it now has stopped and is working great!! Thanks!!!
