    Default GITS: SAC Ejection Error

Has anybody who has the Ghost in the Shell Pachinko received this error before? Any idea of how to fix it? I tried all the usual checks like looking for loose wires, reset button to clear the RAM, check for any blockage in the chutes or hoppers, etc. Everything works like it should up until the error then all you get is red flashing lights with the warning siren.

This ejection error only shows up after the 50th ball enters a payout chute and any time after. I can replicate this every time on the 50th ball entering the payout chute. So far the only way to temporary get rid of the error is to turn off and turn back the machine on, its like it resets an internal counter for something, and then it will still get the error on the 50th ball and every ball after that.

It seems that something gets triggered upon the 50th ball entering the payout chute. If any one can check on their GITS machine, to see if anything activates on the 50th ball entering the chute. That might help me zero in on how to fix this.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Trent

I was lead to believe some modern machines have a sensor to count the balls as they exit the cel. Not just in the pockets as a way of anti tamper. If yours has one. I would start there. By seeing where the balls exit the cel and into the frame. Of course. Thats buried deep in the machine. Its a know issue for those wanting to make cyclic machines where the ball paths get altered. As yours always does it after 50 balls its a good chance. Is the machine under any warranty from whom you got it from.

Hello punisher, welcome to the posting side of PachiTalk

A very odd issue indeed! Sorry I don't have this machine but others should be along. Just wanted to say hi

I removed the cel from the frame, which was super easy, and can get a better view of the bottom of the cel and locate the sensors. It doesn't appear to have a sensor to count the balls as they exit the cel. After the balls pass the payout chute sensor they get dumped in with the other balls that exit the cel.

Becides, once the 50th ball passes a payout chute sensor the error immediately pops up and doesn't wait for the ball to exit the cel.

    Thank for the suggestion.

Is there a number showing on the back of the unit when playing?
Anyone familiar with what it's saying?

Have you tried the cell and/or frame reset button(s)?

No numbers, but does have four led lights that light up.

I managed to translate a few of them with google translate app.
    (From left to right)
    1st LED: ?
    2nd LED: Spherical Error
3rd LED : Power Untercase Error - need better translation
4th LED : Payment Command Error

Then there is this button, translated as Error Cancellation Switch, which doesn't seem to do anything when pressed or held down.

From what I gather, the four LEDs stay lit during normal game play and will blink when whatever item that needs attention. Such as, when the payout hopper runs out of balls the 2nd LED will begin blinking. I believe these LEDs must be visual indicators for the employees working behind the units.

When the ejection error appears none of these LEDs blink. Bummer

    The search continues...

its a pain if you can't type Japanese but you could try a google search of the machine name in Japanese CR新世紀ぱちんこ攻殻機動隊 plus add things like エラー or 排出エラー

Looks like you were right all along, Drunkenclam. I might have found the problem. Someone modified the bottom of the cel and removed a part by dremel or another tool. Looking at the rear of the bottom cel you will see areas of plastic grounded away and also see a couple of areas where screws were at, as seen in the areas I circled in red. Didn't notice it at first until I looked closer and saw a screw missing then noticed pieces were ground off.

Additionally, the board with a security seal has been tampered with and a resister (R71) and a capacitor (C39) have been removed/snipped off. And, a microprocessor chip, @ location 2STB155PP, has been and removed and replaced with a different chip. You can tell it has been soldered on by hand.

Gonna get the cel swapped out just have to wait until another one comes in stock.

    Thanks for all your help.

Its possible the cel came from a machine that was converted to cyclic and has been put in an unmodified frame. At least you found the problem. Lets hope it gets rectified quickly.

Well, it has been over a year and a half and still not fixed. The importer (Clover Collectibles) I got it from doesn't respond to my e-mails.
I been waiting patiently for an update or at least a response, but I just get ignored.

Looks like I'm going to have to fix this myself.

Anyone with a Ghost in the Shell pachinko be able to tell me from my photos what missing parts I will need (color of the resistor bands, size of the capacitor, original microchip that was removed)

Also, is there any way I'll be able to get one of the sensors that was removed, and where does the wires for that sensor connect to?

    Thanks for any help,
    Trent

You might wanna try reaching out to the new vendor from Japan Pachinko Market..
I just hit them up for parts on a machine I had and they were able to help me.

They might be able to assist you as well.

    Worth a shot.
