Default Cheap Ultraman Club ST Pachislo (2005) with some problems..

So I just grabbed an Ultraman Club ST pachislo here in town for just under $100. The machine had its belly glass replaced with a Coca-Cola logo (WHY???) but it was in working order when I picked it up.

The guy had bought it at a garage sale and ended up drilling out the lock to get into the machine. He also did something horrible with the reset switch on the power supply and I fear I now have a machine I will never be able to get to work.

Right now it has an HP error (hopper) that I can't for the live of me figure out how to clear (since, y'know, the reset switch is... gone).

Can anyone help? Would a new Sammy powersupply fix this?

You could try putting a toggle switch in place of where the reset switch was. I heard from a pachislo business owner once that certain brands are finicky about this action but I don't recall which ones.

The good news is right after posting I did the hopper fixed -- there was an actual error. So it's playable but I will still have to figure out the reset switch at some point... someone on Facebook mentioned installing a switch too.

Does anyone have any experience with that?

it should be easy, find the 2 wires, get a small toggle switch with screw on wire connectors, mount the switch if you can.

    hook up the 2 wires

I haven't done one but I imagine simple parts from a local hardware store would be suitable.

Sounds like a common thing to do when you have no reset key.
As he drilled out the lock to get into the machine i assume he had no reset key.

The keyed switch the manufacturer uses, works basically like a toggle switch. I would guess they use a keyed switch for security reasons. For home use a keyed switch really isn't needed.

I've replaced several keyed switches, due to the owners losing the key. It's fairly simple, just open the case on the power supply and there are 2 wires for the switch. Cut the wires from the old switch and remove the old switch from the power supply. Attach the wires to the new toggle switch, (doesn't matter which wire goes to any certain post), and put it in the hole from the old switch.
What if...the HOKEY POKEY, is what it's all about?
