Default Nishijin Mr fall not shooting

This is my second early modern. I cannot get the motor/shooter to respond to anything. I have 24v ac at the small board the motor and control are plugged in to. ANY tips?

I think it has to do with the grounding on the touch sensative knob, buy I can't figure out how to remove it.20170123_224108.jpg

Do you have a dongle attached to the back? I'm not familiar with your model but some do and some don't seem to require a dongle. Can you post a picture of the backside, perhaps the lower third straight on?

Its and early modern hanemono with no dongle. (Not a CR modern machine). More pictures might help.

Going from memory, to remove the knob involves removing fasteners from behind the machine and removing the bottom front portion.
It seemed tedious, again going from memory.

ON the panel on the lower right, the red/brown/orange coming in has 24V. But as soon as I plug it in, it drops to about 4volts measered on the back of that panel. There is a large capacitor behind it.

Is there a way to bypass the knob? Surely I can short some of the wires going to the knob to "close" the switch, and eliminate the motor being bad.
There are 4 wires to the motor, and I never see any voltage on either pair is why I suspect the switch or the ground in the knob that requires you to touch the metal.

Sorry this problem is beyond my experiences but others will be along.

There is a screw on the metal ring. It's on the bottom side, so you may need to tip the machine backward to access it. Be careful when you do this... the wires inside are pretty tight and could detach easily. Of course that might be the reason why its not working now... You can also try pushing in and turning the black adjustment knob behind the shooter (on the back of the machine).

There are 2 screws going into the back of the machine, but there's no room for a screwdriver.

The screw I'm talking about is on the metal ring around the shooter knob. It should be underneath. But its been a few years since I've had this particular frame...

I'll look again tonight. My other machine has that but I couldn't find it on this one. Might flip it to see better.

    20170124_163110.jpgBottom of knob.
    No screw.
It doesn't have the metal ring like my other one, but the whole front is chrome instead.

Found it! FYI, panel removes from the back with the nuts, then handle can be accessed. But that wasn't my problem.
The power plug running from the top of the machine to the little breakout panel for the knob had 2 broken "tangs" inside. Disassembled plug, bent the tangs to makeup for where they were broken, and it's shooting away.
Still need to fix a mess of lights, but it's working!
