Question Jackpot Leaf switch on a vintage sanyo

    Hay guys

So I was rewiring my sanyo last night as their was several breaks in the clearly very old wires and the micro switch for low balls needed replacing anyway as I was removing the leaf switch it fell to bits!! the plastic housing is okish but the 2 leaves are busted!! was wondering if you guys know anywhere I can get a new one from or whats the best way to fix it up.

Ive had a look on ebay and amazon but can only find long lever micro switches which I think will add to much resistance to the JP arm and arcade button leaf switches which Im not sure if they will be mountable.

    cheers guys

    J.

Not that it helps with your broken switch...I have had many leaf switches that the wires break off. On those switches, I would cut a slice on the back side where the leaves are melted into the housing. Sorry, no pics. Basically the original slot the leaves were installed then melted shut. Once sliced back open, remove the leaves and resolder. Once resoldered, replace and adjust the leaves, then seal it up with silicone. I have heard of electrically conductive silicone...but have never seen it. Make sure you done use that kind!

Thanks Pachiwall I will keep this in mind for my next broken leaf switch but this one unfortunately is passed it totally dead but the machine it came from was quite worse for wear when I got it but is now fully back to life minus a leaf switch so I think I'm quite lucky really

Making my own note here for others. Pinball supply stores like Marco Specialties carry leaf switches that should be easy to adapt to pachinko machines.
