Default Newbie with a vintage restro project ahead!!

    Hi everyone

Ive been reading lots of info on this site for a while now but have only just got my first Pachinko machine (well I'm picking it up tomorrow) so i thought I would register and say hi to you all.

I have no idea what machine it is other than its a sanyo vintage machine that I fell in love with so had to have it

    s-l1600.jpgs-l16003.jpgs-l16002.jpgs-l16004.jpgs-l16005.jpgs-l16007.jpgs-l16006.jpg

its in need of some work not sure of what yet but the guy I am getting it from says it doesn't work and from the pictures looks like play-field needs renewing pins are rusted and so is the chrome looking at the back cant tell really tell anything from the pics will figure that out once Ive got it.

if you guys know anything about this machine name year anything really or can point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated my google foo has failed me.

    cheers J.

Hi there! Welcome to the group. I've got that same machine in about the same condition (I think). Looks like its all there as best I can tell. Get ya some new pachinko balls and see what happens when you load her up. In the meantime you can check for Jams in the back of the machine and start cleaning (dirt is the biggest problem with fully intact machines).

Hi guys thanks for the welcome

@Gmwd I've been reading the cleaning article in the vintage forum was my first plan then on to testing with balls which brings me to a question I have .

Currently I don't have any pachinko balls but I do have about 500 10mm ball bearings left over from a 3D printed marble run project I did down at my local makerspace any way I believe pachinko balls are 11mm so was wondering if the 10mm balls would work or if they would cause issues in the mechanics of the machine itself

    Welcome Aboard

The UK is a little dry of vintage machines. i sold mine to a collector in South London
A quick tip. When cleaning the playing field. Don't use anything to wet as the liquid seeps in around the nails and stains the playing field.

unless you have cell cleaner i would say dont do it...

i have had fair luck with lite Windex sprayed on a q-tip then scrub the cell with the damp q-tip.. but i only do this with gross dirty machines (like yours)

    less is more
