Interesting question...and one that I can only answer by saying that's how far it's allowed to move. The rod (that was upside down! lol) that joins the spoon and actual jackpot mech only allows it to go this high? Physically trying to lift it higher doesn't change anything as the top jackpot mach won't allow the movement!!??

The spoon and mech when the ball is at the bottom to show the difference to yours Tink! It rubs along the "claw"?? and feels tight.

Well I would not have believed it but checking 2 machines the connecting rods are different lenghts. About 2mm difference in hole to hole measurement. Perhaps your machine has the shorter one when it should be the longer. This would explain why the spoon does not return to the top.

Disconnect the connecting rod to see if you have the expected clearance in the jackpot mech as it should be without any balls in it.

    A thought for correction,

Adjusting the bottom pivot point up a few mm's to where the spoon returns to the top may make all the difference if the jackpot mech has the required clearance.

Sorry Tink...I'm a bit lost on this point? How can I adjust the bottom pivot point?

I would remove the screws and just hold it a bit higher up the back so the spoon is at the top, then see if it will correct the payout issue.

May be a 2 person job, 1 to hold it in a location and another to drop a few balls through for payout test.

If it does, you will need to predrill to remount and probably drill a hole in the plastic to fit the pivot post.lower pivot edits.JPG

Ok, thanks Tink...will see if I can have a look tonight for you...silly question. You said there looked to be 2 different lengths of the main rod...can I not just buy the longer rod??? See how this performs as opposed to drilling and re-positioning?

If you know somewhere to get one perhaps, but parts are not to common around my area. I would definately test first.

Saw one on eBay would you believe...selling the whole plastic back section but may be willing to part with the rod?? I'll see how I go with your suggestion first. Cheers Tink

Tink....you tell me but have you just worked out what's wrong with my Pachinko?? The rod is the wrong size??!!

If this to be the case, as you can see in the video the plastic where the bottom pivot point is mounted is moulded to fit the the point perfectly. Having to drill new holes...will it fit as well as the moulding is raised where the screws fit as well as where the actual pivot point sits.

My my preferance is to see if I can probably find the correct size rod? Thoughts on if this is acheviable?

Thanks for the video. Seems much better.
I think if it were mine I would cut the back plastic corner free and trim it so you could adjust up and use the moulded mounts.

Yeah...understand...there are a couple listing on eBay so might just try them quickly first to save having to back into it. I can be a bit anal when it comes to keeping things orginal/authentic.

You made mention earlier that it was a different size, did you know that becuase you have the similar models that show this? Are you able to let me know what the size is I need.

mine is 315mm long. Tip to tip.

Well it seems I do not measure well on the machines. I have removed both and holes are very close. Not sure there is many options other than moving the pivot.20170311_152308.jpg20170311_152322.jpg

Wow...no real difference at all. Hmmm...ok. Thanks mate. May look at some options but it's either cut and reposition the plastic or even look to get a new rod made??

Thanks Tink. Really appreciate you sticking at this with me. You've been a great help. If any parts or machines come up in Australia happy to help out where I can. Cheers.
