Success!! Now I'm going to start cleaning the ramps and the joints...I'll go and have a little read of that sticky for that and see what questions arise. Just wanted to ask about the staples?

ive removed a lot and some have snapped being so old, rusted and worn...in place of these I notice very tiny holes. Can I just use wood screws as a replacement to these? I'll try and get the staples back where they came from as they seemed to proved a really good solid connection/hold to the wood but wanted to ask the screw question.

Cheers so far guys too.....enjoying this!

Arrggggggghhhhh, looks like i have a little (major) problem. It seems that I am unable to pry away the brown plastic outer to get to the rest of the mechs as it is glued in some places. This is a real bugger because the jackpot ramps are filthy and one of the connecting rods that feeds on the inside has come out of t housing/position....man...what do I do from here guys??

I've circled the bit that has fallen out! Easy to get back in?

I have had a couple like that. Carefully cut the glue lines with an exacto knife to get them apart.

Ok,i'll try..I'm just not sure that down where the plastic sits into the final dump section, it loks like it is held on pretty tight! And in some cases even like where it sits into a channel is glued!!! Looks pretty daunting #steadyhands #icandothis lol

Will i need to glue it back in the same places at all? What about adding some heat into the equation, to try and soften the glue somewhat making it easier to cut? I know I'd have to be careful of the plastic but would this help achieve the desired result?

Not sure about heat....no need to re-glue after. I was scared my first one too but it worked out ok. A bit of pry pressure and slowly cut into the channel where it was glued.

This is not working out well for me. I may just have to leave it and put it back together if I can't pry this apart which will be a real bummer because I've tumbled my balls to a brilliant shine. Not being able to clean these ramps will stuff them up real quick.

I've posted better photos of the areas that are glued to show why I can't get a knife in there. They are right where a vertical section is!! As you can see I've made a little bit of a mess of the back (first pic)

Really guys, any help would be appreciated! I want to get this back together and playing.

Was there screws through the clear into the brown casing? Perhaps someones been in there before and needed to glue it back together. Sorry but I am near out of ideas at this point. One could perhaps try some acetone on the glue line, but be careful as it will melt the plastic.

Happy New Year guys....hope everyone had an enjoyable break if they got one!

I put this on a bit of hold as I got busy during the Xmas rush but back to it now. I've cleaned all pivot points and most the plastics and I'm ready to put the back, back on.

I've decided that the plastic was stuck just to well to try and pry further apart so have left it as is.

I just wondered if someone could help confirm that the angled piece of metal that goes into the hole as shown sits underneath the small bar to lift it up or sits on top. This mechanism is situated on the left hand side of the pachinko, just below the see saw.

I think it may feed the balls into the plunger on second look??

I'm sorry guys I don't know the right terms but hopefully it makes sense.

Thanks guys for you patience so far..almost there.

That is your flag control. Goes under. Lifts the flag out of the front viewing window when enough balls are in the top hopper.

So it's all back together and I'm still having problems....arrggggggg.

I have manually dropped a ball into the main jackpot and it does as it is supposed...by paying out a jackpot. I notice that on the back of the machine once this initial payout happens, the balls don't fill the jackpot "hopper??" again but just the top section of it.

When i drop the second or even third ball into either the main jackpot or side jackpot areas, nothing. The balls get stuck either in the seesaw, as I believe can happen, or fall down the exit shute but get stuck at the bottom.

Can any shed light on what to look at from here??

I've completely cleaned all pivot points with Brasso that I could reach...really want a working Pachinko now....#almostcrying

Full back pic please. Without jackpot and seesaw covers and any other easily removed cover. Must be something simple now.

Is it doing the same as your video earlier? That appears to be a sticky jackpot mechanism not filling after the first payout allowing the spoon to go back up to reset the ramp and seesaw.

If you exclude the first ball that I dropped and take it from when it paid out then yes....but...I took apart the jackpot...cleaned the inside and out as well as pivot points!! Do I need to go over it again or is it something else?

The jackpot mechanism should reset and refilll easily under it's own weight. Something must be binding somewhere. Does the spoon ride freely down and up?

Dump the balls and you should be able to manually actuate /simulate a payout to locate the area causing the friction.
