Default Plate over single shot loader

I have a single shot pachinko machine and for some reason there is a plate over the place where you are supposed to insert the balls. Any idea why this is there and how can I remove it, so I can start playing

    * Sorry the pictures are sideways, not sure why it does that

I have not seen a single shot. But I would guess there may be linkage that blocks the loader if no balls are there to payout. Have you loaded the back hoppers?

yeah, I loaded the hoppers and nothing. Wondering if it is a shipping feature or something, I am new to this so a little bit at a loss.

Try moving the linkage that goes from top to bottom on the left side of the back...next to the tube that refills lower tray. That should be the linkage that opens it. It may be disconnected at one or both ends. Look for any linkage that moves (or should move) when the pressure plate that balls rest on from top tray. I have a machine with a block plate similar to that...but I can't remember which machine. It is definitely to block playing when balls are low. It should be easy to figure out if you study that area.
