    Smile First Machine

I just got hold of my first machine. Based on my 30 minutes of research I think it's a Nishijin Model A. I went to a wedding shower for my daughter and the host had an awesome gameroom. We exchanged stories about the arcade machines we each have. I mentioned I wanted my next project to be a pachinko. I remember playing them in Florida while on vacation back in the 70's. He said he had one that had been packed away since he was stationed in Japan in the early 70's. I said let me know if you ever want to get rid of it. He showed up at the wedding with the machine and said I was the first one to ask about in 35 years. Now the fun begins!

I've dropped some balls through the trays to see how things work and so far can't get any balls to feed back to the shooting lever. I've already started reading everything I can find. Pictures are posted. I'm sure I'll have many silly questions before this over.

Hello EKM, nice machine and welcome to the group! I like your story of how you acquired it.
Do you have a lot of balls with it? Something like 500 is a good start. Ask all the questions you want. There are many here wanting to help!

Thanks Petey and Tink. Yes, it came with a bag of original balls. There's probably a couple of hundred. Not shiny but they'll get me started. I've already downloaded the video and a couple of others plus read several posts. I was initially concerned about the staples holding the parts in place but after reading it seems that's normal which makes me feel much better already.
