That might not be a bad idea, even without the latch you would have to forcefully pull on the door to open it so that could be a solution.

I love your LED jackpot, I had thought about doing something similar but it seemed that it would require a lot of dismantling to achieve - have you made topic showing the way you achieved it?

Well, it's a 1975 Sankyo Pachinko and it has a tubular lock but that's as much as I know - no codes or other identifying marks on the lock (apart from a letter K in the middle of the keyhole).

I wouldn't have a clue about searching on Yahoo auctions as I don't know any Japanese unfortunately.

Only sanyo key listed at the moment is a G code one.
I have a box coming from Japan in about 2 weeks. A key would do nothing for the international shipping. So best keep an eye out.

Thanks for that, that's very kind of you to keep an eye out for me. Is it a 'buy it now' or is it an auction?

I've attached a photo of the keyhole on my machine - can anyone verify if this is the correct style of key for it?

There is a zip file I could email to you; it's just over 1 meg and thus can't be posted.
Send me a PM with your email address; if you wish to tackle.
Yes, there is a lot of dismantling.

Thanks, that doesn't sound a bad price. How much is the shipping?
It's a shame you can't see the end of the key to at least see if it looks like it would fit.

internal shipping is up to 510 yen. It is a Sankyo key with K stamped on it. So its probably the correct one.
there would be a deputy service bill on top of that too. 5% I think.

As I said I have a box leaving Japan for the UK in about a week. Although I'm sending it surface so will take 2 months to get here. (It a big item I'm shipping)
If you want me to get it let me know and you can paypal me. I'll forward all emails on (PM me your address)

Sure, no problem. I can take it to some local key cutters and see if anyone can copy it.

I've made a set of ramps from MDF to go in the base of the cabinet to funnel lost balls to a hole in the middle. They will be collected in a tray on a shelf beneath the cabinet to save having to open it every time you run out of balls.

You were right. Some one else brought the key first.

    Maybe someone here?

Yeah, it's a shame . Would have been really nice to have a key but can't do much about it. Maybe I'll be lucky and another will show up sometime.
