    Default Dream GP Issues

Ok, well first time here. I repair arcades and pinballs most of the time but I was given my first "newer" Pachi that I feel totally lost. Way too many boards and no manuals or anything to go off.

I can get it too shoot balls and some lights come on. Thats about it. The little open tray does not open evre screen in the middle does nothing. Not sure where to start. Any help would be great or a manual might even get me started.

    Thanks

Hello Toby and welcome to the group!!

You could have a loose connection to the screen. I think it would light up when you turn the power on. Have tried unplugging and re-seating the connections? I’m not familiar with your machine but on some not all of the lights come on until you enter a fever/bonus round. This is also when the trap door would open. Others will be along so ask any question

    Welcome Aboard

Mansai777 website isn't working at the moment, Thats where I normally hunt for orignal machine names. So had to use 777.Nifty

Okumura Monaco 奥村遊機 ドリームグランプリ Dream Grand Prix

Here's a video of what should happen. Starting from power up. Its fitted with an autoplay which is why there are no balls.
at 3:40 the machine hits its jackpot and you can see the trap door open. You can also compare what lights you have on compared to the video.

As for your machine. Are you getting any payouts or sounds. Make sure all connections from the frame to the cel are good and fuses ok.

Ok, well replaced all fuses, checked connections and all seems ok. I get no sounds, minimal lights, no visual on the screen. So it has the top light comes on, one side corner light comes on, balls shoot and it comes out fine when it goes in holes that is about it. Everything looks really clean. Any other ideas for me to test, no sound seems weird. Thanks

The top frame lights on these normally indicate simple thinks like no balls in the top tank. Or flashes during payout. Or door open.

No sound is normal till a ball goes in the start pocket.
If you have balls. Fill up the back tank. Open tbe front glass and drop a ball in the pocket directly in the centre under the screen and see if you get a payout.

Ok filled the top hopper and did as you said, all the balls go into another area in the back and stay there. All the other balls fall out the back into a bucket I put there. Nothing ever goes in the bottom payout area unless i dont fire a ball all the way up. I am so lost.

    Pic#1 top hopper.
Pic#2 Bottom back where the balls that fall to the bottom of the play field go.
Pic#3 The area the balls hold when they go in any of the scoring holes
Pic#4 front top is the shooting area, bottom is the payout but nothing ever comes out there.

your machine is jammed up..... the balls in the 3rd pic should not be there.. you need to find out what is holding them /jamming them up...

Ok so the balls are stopping right at some kind of black thin that moved in pic #1 the little black switch lets the balls go if i push the switch. Posted some other random pics just to see if it might help. there must be a power issue if I get no sound or video. All connections look really clean.20161003_145439.jpg20161003_145454.jpg20161003_145507.jpg20161003_145529.jpg

Is it possible that no sounds or video until the bonus happens? I mean no sounds and a totally blank screen.
