I LIKE IT!! The handle looks like a ball lifter.
The seller has a nice collection there on the bay with free shipping!

Manual ball lifter! Cool idea. The one I'm thinking of building is motorized lol. Is that a typical cost of a machine with a ball loader or is this machine special? Thank you for the information!

there are lots of hours spent on restoring that beauty.

I'm sure its a labor of love, but, "time is money"

The same machine is for sale on Yahoo Japan (http://page14.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/j...ion/s498744652) with a single bid at 80,000 yen, approximately $800. The buy it now is $1000. After paying $800 you have to give the deputy service their cut, pay domestic shipping, pay international packaging and shipping fees to the US. By the time that's done you are probably in another $300. Which puts you at the same price Mr. Al is asking on eBay and you still have a machine that needs many hours of work, which is great if your desire was to restore one and not so great if you'd rather have something ready to display and play. I have seen Mr. Al's work up close and can tell you that he really does beautiful restorations. The cost definitely isn't cheap, but you'll probably never see a nicer machine of that vintage. The ball lifter is super cool and an incredibly simple design for lifting the balls. It is a really cool machine.
