    Default Firedrift Volume Switch

I managed to get a Firedrift (and Aztecha) yesterday (I'm UK based and these are quite thin on the ground !) it's very loud though, can someone give me directions as to where the volume switch is located ? I found a small slide switch but the volume seems the same in all positions on the Firedrift but the Aztecha quietened down using a similar slide switch. Thanks !

Does seem to do very little I'm sure I have the right switch now after snooping around as it is on the board that the speakers connect to although found it's the lower speaker that really makes the powerful sound. The upper two left and right piezos can only make high frequency sounds really and can't shift any air to rattle the floorboards I'll do something with the lower speaker. Thanks.

Thumbs up Re: Firedrift Volume Switch

Si7, a quick search with the words VOLUME MOD will bring up all sorts of information here. Most of us have settled for (or like, anyhow) the volume control pots from www.pachislo.com. Take a look here -- you get 5 for $15, shipping included (might be a bit more to the UK...):

Ah, that's great, I'd pretty much decided to put a wirewound pot in series with the thunderous lower speaker but those are much more elegant solutions ! Thanks !

I just finished installing the pots from Pachislo.com in my Golgo 13 (2 pots) and King Camel (3 pots) about 30 minutes ago and they're great! Takes maybe 5 miutes per pot and they give you a good range of volume control.
