Default Tried everything to fix E1 error, still persists

Hello, I have a Jet set radio slot machine that has the E1 error code. I know that this is refering to a jam in the hopper, everything is cleared out and it's still giving me this error.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Welcome Aboard

Probably a faulty photo cell in the base of the hopper. the one that counts the tokens as they come out.

Remove the hopper and make sure the arm isn't blocking it. then its down to clean, test with a meter, then replace.

Thanks for the reply. I cleaned the cells, and it still gives an error. Any more ideas, or am I going to have to buy new photo cells?

does the wheel in the hopper turn freely? do tokens spit out when you turn it by hand?

I wish you the best of luck solving this problem. I can't offer any advice on how to fix it.

Jet Set Radio is one of my most FAVORITE video games of all time. I love it so very much. Would it trouble you too much to ask for a picture of your machine? It would make me very happy.

    Sorry to clutter your thread.

If your good with a soldering iron. I would replace the photocell. They aren't expensive to buy. As to where to buy and what model. I have no idea

E-1 Error Code for a Sammy/Rodeo machine means RAM ERROR. Not a Hopper Error.

I would try a "Hard Reset".

Here's a list of ERROR CODES for SAMMY/RODEO MACHINES.

Yep, I found out a long time ago you can't assume. Even if the post says "I've done a reset several times". I will still post the proper steps for a reset, so I know they are doing it correctly. Because there have been cases where they were not doing it correctly, they just thought they were, by pushing the reset button.

An E1 error code is a hopper error for some machines/manufacturers, but not for Sammy/Rodeo/Aristocrat and some IGT machines. The post says "I have a Jet set radio slot machine that has the E1 error code. I know that this is referring to a jam in the hopper". Which, I believe is not true and has gotten misinformed somehow.

Normally, the E1 error code on this machine is due to the machine being turned OFF for a long period of time.

(I hope he hasn't tore into the hopper to much to hurt anything.)

Hello everyone! Sorry about the short hiatus. Good news. I have managed to fix the unit and here is a video demonstration: http://youtu.be/2DVQq75iOjg

to Pachitalk Coolatay! Unfortunately c0dei has not been on Pachitalk since 8-12-2016. These old posts can be tricky, because we usually don't look at the date the thread was current. I've fallen for that a few times. I wanted to ask about the Bose upgrade...wether it was already in the programming and accessed thru the menu...or somehow added. As far as I know, nobody has cracked the programming code. As these are gambling machines...programming is a closely guarded secret!
To see if I had any chance to get a response from c0dei...I clicked on his name in his avatar. c0dei

OK...none of that looks right. Plus my last sentance was highlighted in red (like the "+Reply to Thread" below), so I just posted it early. If you click on your own avatar you can edit your profile, add photo albums, send private messages , etc.
