Default Problem with CRF大夏祭り, Big Summer Festival Pachinko

    Hi all,
i received my new Pachinko, a Sankyo Big Summer Festival (CRF大夏祭り) yesterday directly from Japan, i was totally excited
i cleaned it, did a quick check, changed the trafo and turned it on. it was running fine so i played a lot of balls until i reached fever.
now the machine behaves strange, it seems to not count the balls that goes through the "win" door on the bottom that only opens when
you reach a fever mode. all the balls that enters here goes right where the lost balls go at the back bottom of the machine. i looked closer at the backside and found some serious damage to the plastic pieces behind the pachinko. the balls were stuck everywhere in the plastic holes and can't get out, because the canals were all broken by some japanese guy i have made photos that you can see it. i really like this machine, so i will do everything i can to fix it. my plan is to rebuild those canals and plastics as near to the original as possible. and here i need your help:
can someone with this or a similar machine upload photos of all the areas that are broken on mine so that i can see how it would look if everything is fine?
that would be really helpful as i have no clue how this looks if nothing is broken.
maybe someone knows where to buy a new backplastic for this machine if i can't get it fixed...
i will keep this thread updated with every progress i made.
thanks for all your help on saving this machine!
    Roland

It was " Converted " to Cyclic which means they tore into the ball channels and redesigned it so you don't need 1,000 + balls to play cause the payout works have been disabled so no need to fill the top hopper

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...rn-cyclic.html

    http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...-machines.html

Some people like them cause no ball mess refilling the top hopper with balls . Sorry , it looks like the person who sold it to you didn't tell you that they tried to make the machine Cyclic but looks like the gave up half way though .

I will Never do that to any of my Machines Yes I am a Pachi Purest and darn proud of it

ah i see... i just wondered how "specific" the plastic was broken, so this is the answer... is there a way for me to turn that back? can you send me photos of these areas from an intact machine? thanks

hmm i'm not so familiar with the type of cells, but it's this machine here:

    http://page17.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/j...ion/v462594279

can you determine which cell it is with the pictures on this site?

would be so nice. i like to repair things, even if it's not that easy

I've converted a few back from cyclic. Its normally a case of working out the original ball paths and gluing in plastic strips to infill then filing down and ridges to make sure the balls roll smoothly.

I think there was a thread somewhere of some one who convetted the star wars advent vader (same frame) to cyclic. There might be some pictures there.

In the mean time. Take advantage of it. Keep playing and check the trap door and tulips open during fever and high probability modes.

When your ready. And you have the frame secured so it will not tip over. Remove the cel from the frame. Its the same on the crystal as it is on the Lumina.

Sometimes there is a rail glued to the back of the frame. That can be removed. For some reason they normally use a glue gun to stick everything. So it stands out a lot. Once the cel is out. You can get a clear view of the section cut out of the frame.

    thanks for your help.
yes i already looked very close at the back frame and try to figure out where the balls might have been rolled through so i can rebuild it. but for a relative new pachinko owner like me it's a very hard task, so i'm hoping to get some photo's where i can figure that out and get the idea of how it originally looked.
yes, it's playable that way, but it's not very good converted, many balls get stuck in between the plastic parts on the backside and can only get out by opening the backside and shake/fiddle them out.
maybe you have a similar frame where i can take a look at the backside?
would be so nice! thank you for all your support on this

ok, will do that today after work. yesterday i only dismounted the back frame to take a better look and pictures of the broken areas.

yes, they do a lot with the glue gun, especially where the balls fall through and are lost (in the middle) but also on the right side (if you look from the back) where the balls feed to the shooter bowl. these glueings must all removed i think?
but the hardest rebuild is the backframe because there is a lot of the plastic cut out and not clearly visible how it's supposed to look like...

I can see that there was a rail to take the balls from the cel back to the front but thats not there anymore.
I don't have a crystel frame so have nothing to compare with. but I can tell you what path the balls should take.

    A list of ball paths

All balls exit the cel either through the lost ball hole at the bottom or through a pocket go to the back of the machine. Your cel seems to have a section of black plastic cut out to divert the balls down to the channel below. (pic 4)
Can you drop a ball in each of the other pockets to see where it comes out?

Balls that aren't shot hard enough get returned to the lower tray. This is normally still the case after cyclic mods. but its worth checking.

The channel from the payout motor is the only thing that should send ball to the front tray. Also in this should be the overflow to the bottom tray and probably the ball dump near by. (Pic 6 seems to show the overflow path)(and its fully uncovered in pic 4)

Where does the ball dump lead too?

This might be of some help. Its of someone telling you how to make the crystella frame cyclic

    http://plaza.rakuten.co.jp/crbalginus/diary/?ctgy=5

shows a modified piece of plastic at the cel exit

Shown with the cel removed. The ball pathways from the payout motor with and without cover.

Cut outs made in the clear plastic assembly. before and after.

The slope just under where it says ABS backwards is probably what guides teh balls that go in the pockets to teh waste ball chute at the back.
