Default Repair or looking for replacement part

Hello, I have 2 machines, one I just am finishing up and another I will begin soon that both have the wire missing that stops the shooter when too many balls are in the front tray. Both are Nishijin B style machines. I was looking at one of them and the little door that pushes the wire has a shaft held in by an e clip but the position of the clip makes me nervous I won't get it back on.

Has as anybody disassembled one before successfully and if so what did you use for the replacement wire and dimensions of it?

If not I would be looking for 2 replacement parts (the whole plastic shute with wire) if not too expensive and anybody has any to spare.

Thanks for for any advice or help.

    Mike

I must admit, that may be the only parts on the Nishijin B I do not take apart to clean. It is spring loaded as well as glued. I would suggest to try and put a hook on a piece of haywire to see if you can hook the rod it needs to hook on to. If you can hook it and then pinch the hook, you may be able to make it work.

I have used this for other missing wire parts. Rigid enough but bendable for shape. I think it is 18 guage.

Thanks for the reply. I will try that, I am nervous about taking that pin out. Do you happen to have the measurements needed for the wire? I don't have a b machine with one. Thanks again!

No sorry, but looks quite close to the 18 guage haywire.

im not sure bailing wire is the way to go.. its quite soft and bendable..

you might search your local hobbie shop for "servo rods"... RC airplanes use long rods for there servos.. these rods are quite small (probably a bit bigger then the origonal Pachinko wire) but its really stiff and will work well for your application

thanks I will go and see what I can find. I have some music wire I just tried but it is too thick and difficult to bend. I would not be able to get it to bend to close the loop on the shaft. I need something thinner and easy enough to bend.
