    Question Fever Ghost Operation

Picked up a Fever Ghost Sankyo machine really cheap, I have some operational questions. The payout pockets do not release balls, how do I test to see if each pocket is working. I do not see any type of switched in the hole, how does it register the ball? I fill up the top hopper and nothing pays out. When I get a ball in the center it does make the video screen activate. I took most of it apart to learn the inside workings. I want to test each payout pocket. What do I use? I also see on the back in the lower left hand side a small butto with a numberic LED above it. It there something I can reference the number against? Sometimes when the machine is turned on it gives me a constant warble beep. I press that button and it stops.

Also, the shooting knob, how does that operate? Sometime it does not engage, does it work on some type of grounding? I have noticed when I touch the silver ring around the knob it engages the flipper.

With a little cleaning, this looks like a fun machine!

    Any help would be appreciated.

the button is a reset button,

you have to hold the complete knob in your hand to make contact with ground.

you can open the glass from the back and drop ballls manually into payout pockets to check them.

the top tray should have enough balls in it to payout.

Thanks LuckyDog, Filled the top tray, placed balls in the pockets but get no sound or payout. Are there contacts I can test with a tester?

I also noticed in the rear of the machine what looks like a Serial port (25 pin). What could that be used for?

Sankyo's error code is in the pachinko lincs plus look at other models of the same style for other info.

I have another question for you Pachinko experts.

How full should the top hopper be to prevent errors?

As long as you have balls in the track you should be fine. With that said, I always keep mine as full as possible. You never know when you're going to hit a fever round.

Thanks, Tulsa. I'm beginning to learn a little about these machines.

And Arby was right about playing the PumpKing in dim light, it is awesome then!

And to throw a rinkle in this some machines have been bypassed on the board in the back. That why soume boards will have a hole eithered burnt thru it or drilled thru it.

I'm surprised that one wasn't bought right away, now that I've seen it run in dim light especially!

Yes and no on the Sankyo. Between work, a 4 letter word BTW, and me being a little afraid to check all connections, and just getting ready to fill the top hopper, I'll find out shortly.

Got it running!! Like a charm! Took everything apart, cleaned it and reseated all the plugs. Well worth the $50 I paid for it!! I only have one thing to fix, it is missing the bottom right piece of Grey plastic (7"x3" panel). I need to try to make a replacement or find parts......

    Thanks for all your help!!

Is there any known way to adjust the LCD, the viewing angle to not so great, when you look from above it looks good, when viewing straight it seems a bit washed out....

You would need to open the back all up and use spacers under the attachment points to change the angle. Use a fiber or plastic washers only
