    Default Hello from Oklahoma!

First off I want to say hello to everyone.

    Howdy!

    Story time:

So my mother-in-law just purchased a new(to her) slot machine. I told her I would help her get it going and long story short I'm helping her with it. I know enough about forums to post my question in the right area, but a point in the right direction would be very much appreciated.
    Here is a pic:

The issue is probably an easy fix, but.... Help?
Whenever it pays out or dispenses coins, it will either jam up or spit them out to the bottom of the machine. With the help of an endoscope I've learned that where the hopper spits out coins and the slot on the door don't quite match up. Any help on how to fix it would be great.

it sounds like a small ramp between the hopper and door slot may be missing or not positioned correctly.

you could jerry rig one from cardboard to see if that helps.

make sure the bottom of the hopper spins freely and the tokens aren't bent up. cleaning them wouldn't hurt either

Using an app called fast burst camera I managed to get a few shots that caught it as the coins came out. Does this look it's missing that ramp?

Hello and welcome to the group!
I don't have the same machine but perhaps a picture inside of the door and one of the lower inside half showing the hopper area will help some more.

I took some close ups to show where it is hitting the door just barely above the door slot. That little scuff mark on the top of the door slot? That's where it hits every time.
I'm starting to wonder if I have the right hopper...?

I had this happen once and there is a chance that the alignment is off. If the machine was dropped at some prior time then the door could have shifted to one side. There could have also been some hasty repairs done. Or as you mentioned, something other than original parts could be there.

I’d check to see how square the door is when closed and firmly latched if possible. Often there is a single roller under the right side of the door to check on. One of my machines also has adjustable hinges. The plastic with the exit slot on the door may be adjustable as well where you can get it a little higher in place to line up better. Looking at the hopper pictures it does look like the base was previously repaired. This could have enough bend in the base to throw off the alignment as well.

More members will see this in time and can offer more detail from experience and maybe someone with the same machine to compare the hoppers.

Perhaps one of the Moderators can move this over to section called “Pachislo Technical Support Tickets” for some added visibility. Some members frequent only certain areas being Pachislo, Pachinko, or both and then some.

try making a square cardboard funnel to guide the tokens and tape it on the door slot

That was it. Once I knew what to look for it was an easy fix.

A couple of coins and some duck tape got the door aligned. For reference that is where the roller sits on the on the inside of the door

I used a marker for reference to see how far I needed to lift the door.
