Default Is this a Vintage Machine?

Hi. This my first post here as I just found the site. The machine i have appears to be about the 70's era cabinet style wize, however in the upper left corner,(picture not that great) is a date sticker of 52-7-15. Other machines i have looked at, appearance wise makes me think this is a later era machine. i can't find any other english numbering however if you can tell me where to look specifically, I have an Asian friend that will look at it. Can someone have a look and offer some advice.
    Thanks

My understanding is that you are looking at a service date sticker. This is for when a machine would be taken out of service at a parlor. Add 25 to the first number for the year. This date would be July 15, 1977, around a year after production but not always the case.

There should be another sticker out of sight below the lower play field. Open the front of the machine to see if there is a number on the playing field to date it? It should be in the lower left sometimes on the right.

Hello and welcome. Neat machine. The tax stickers are in the lower right corner, you can just see part of them in your first pic. Among all the Japanese you will find a couple numbers. My guess would be a 54 (imperial year) and a month. Add 1925 to that less 1 year to get the estimated build date.

    to Pachitalk

I'm actually currently working on the same model machine for a customer. It is a late 1976 Nishijin model B (No More War II).

The chrome on yours looks to be pretty decent.

Also just a word of wisdom to all the members who said 1977. The date on the tax stamp is 52. You add 25 to it for the imperial year. That gives you 1977, which is when the machine was to be removed from service. To figure out when it was built it is easiest to take a year off the date on the tax stamp. As machines could only be in service for 6-12 months. With 9 and 12 months being the most common... This knowledge was brought to you by the deep depths of PT. Now back to your regular scheduled thread...

    100 machines and counting...

The Nishijins with the Jade features are kind of annoying to date. It appears they were made both in late 1975 and early 1976. You find them with playfields from both years, and with tax stamps from both years about equally. I had originally intended to call them 1975 Gen2 machines, but have sort of fallen into calling them 1975/76 as it seems more appropriate.
