    Uh oh... (hides)

OK here is a real "Tokie Owens" (whatever that is) question

Do pachinko balls need to be cleaned? If so, how often and what is the best method to use.

    Thanks

use a rock tumbler with crushed walnut shells is one way.

another is some CLR or a little Dawn in real hot water, rinse and dry well.

    some people use their dishwasher

So LD... you were serious about the dishwasher ? My wifey has a monthly meeting, so I could easily use the dishwasher for my evil Pachinko activities

yeh good old net bag or the Mrs tights if bag isnt avalible (i use my own tights befor that joke gets cracked) and iv found vanish is the best just remember to towel dry as the turbo dry dishwashers dont half get your balls a little hot and if you dont dry you defeat the object and they rusts up
My rice krispies told me to do it

    Thanks Dr. C

OK - bear with me. Ima try to type this with a straight face... here goes.

So I put my balls in my wife's nylons, and wash them in the dishwasher with Vanish.

On this side of the pond, I have two choices when you say Vanish. One is toilet bowl cleaner, and the other is a stain remover. Got a link

Then make sure they are toweled dry so they don't rust.

When or how often should this be done?

My balls never get sticky. I make sure everyone washes their hands before handling them.

Use the exact same one. can do 400 tokens total with no problem. If you get a replacement drive belt off of ebay, you can jump upto about 500. I don't know if my original belt was junk or not but when I tried 250 in each barrel the belt broke. got a replacement belt off of ebay which ended up being an "O" ring and haven't had any problems since.

sorry we got the toilet cleaner the stain remover and dishwasher tablets any dishwasher tablets should do the more abrasive teh better i found that vanish trashed transfers ect on drinking glasses so figured it would work well with the balls i was right

as for the nylons the idea is to stop teh balls from firing around the dishwasher and keep them together hence teh net bag if avalible as you will trash your wifes nylons then you gotta explain what you were doing with them

Just tell the clerk that you are buying them so you can fill them with 11mm metal balls and then put them in the dishwasher.. I think that would get a better reaction...
