I have seen this exact center attraction on 1973 Nishijins. Go figure. Another acrylic playfield that grieved me removing all of the nails. Still turned out great!

Nice, looks kinda familiar to me! I didn't know these had acrylic playfields.

Mine's the got the golf themed background with the sorta ugly dark greenish panel instead of the polished chrome behind the reward tray:

Rival, I have the exact same machine. I just picked it up this weekend. All of the wiring and lights are gone so I just ordered replacements. All of the mechanics in the back are filthy...so I am going to start cleaning it this evening. Your machine is the only one I've seen like the one I have.

    Hey Welcome Wood Butcher!

These machines are neat! So I'm guessing that center cup flips back and forth?

Thanks for the warm welcome, Buck & Mopar. I just ordered a pile of balls and all of the "electronics" for it. I spent the evening cleaning 90% of the funk out of the machine. Definitely works better now. My son is an electronics student so I'm going to have him rig up a counter and LED display so when you hit a jackpot it will trigger a switch that will log a given value on the LED screen. It will also have a reset button so the next player can see what his/her score is. That way you can play against someone. I'm sure it's been done but I think it will be a good project for both of us. I cant keep the family off the machine long enough to work on it though...lol.
