Default Eva 6 no sound and glitchy screen

I have an Eva 6 which has worked fine for a few years, and suddenly the screen looks all glitchy and there is no sound.
It happens the instant I turn it on.

So after looking over other threads and getting my electronics savvy friend over to look at the boards and chips in question, we are about 90% sure that this is a bad graphics board. If anyone on here has one available, or other way to fix the issue, let me know please. This is one of my favorites.

I would agree, it looks like the Video RAM is bad..
Check with Akimono.. he had these for awhile and may have a junk cell or machine he can partout. Doesn't hurt to ask.
Also your next best bet is Yahoo Japan Auctions.. Still haven't mastered that one myself..

Ok, I am gonna add something here..
I am disassembling an Eva 8 Cell. The card your looking for is fairly easy to access and on my machine its connected to the LCD panel by a Ribbon cable. These cables are notoriously fragile and easy to get them damaged. Have you checked to make sure both ends of this cable are secured... to the monitor and the Video board? Ruling out a bad cable I would agree with your friend sight unseen.

While its an Eva 8 machine I am willing to be the pictures probably hold some insight on how your machine is setup.
