    Default Satomi "Computer Pachinko"

Just got a Satomi Computer Pachinko. Finally got it up and running. One problem I notice is that it only drops one set of balls on coin drop. I have replaced the caps in the power supply as per pachinko man's suggestion from his manual. Still only drops one set unless I unplug the score display. Could this still be a power supply issue? Possibly too much draw with the score display connected? It still keeps score if you connect display after start of game. Any suggestions will be welcome. Thanks.

    Hello, and welcome.

So it will drop 3 sets without the display connected?

Yes it drops 3 sets of walls without the display connected. But with the display connected it will only drop one set of balls and hold the solenoid and eventually times out.

Would you post a pic of the board? I have seen 2 different styles.

Does everything else function correctly? Pays per each win, counts up 10 per win, and replays per 100?

Are you ok with changing chips?

Sorry. Been busy with work lately. Finally some time to play. I tried changing the computer and the score board with a parts machine that I have. Still same things. Yes it does drop upon score and registers score. I really think the trouble is going to be in the power supply.

There is a schematic at flippers.com

A note shows 2 caps to change if does not load 3 sets of balls. Are those the caps you changed?

Yes those are the two caps I changed. Altough I did not have 2 new caps, the ones I used were 2 good used caps. The old ones were obviously burnt on the ends. Before replacing them it would only drop one set of balls no mater what you did. Now it will drop the three if score board is unplugged.

Do you have a meter? Have you checked the voltages?
I would change the other 2 small caps and the 5 volt regulator (7805).

Seems odd that everything works with the exception of the ball drop, makes me think it could be the reset circuit.
