Interesting plane I saw one at Wright Pat. in Dayton. They have darn near one of anything the USA flew or tried they have a few unique X planes there as well.

my first job was working for my dad's construction company. i did just about everything... operated the equipment ... framed in new or renovated houses... hung drywall... finished drywall... roofing... septic systems... masonary... ect...

then i joined the US Air Force. My original job was to maintain our Firetruck Fleet. i did that for the first 10 years or so. now i'm our system administrator. i keep our 87 computers, printers, hubs, switches, digital senders all working good. i also build small programs on the side and i'm now self learning FLASH. the programs i've built so far would be alot better if they were web based (hence why i'm learning FLASH)

i've had odd jobs like Car Sterio installation. i also build the enclosures for the subwoofers. i've also designed and help build a show car for the Air Force to raise awareness on Alcohol Consumption and Drinking and Driving.

I've been in the military for just over 13 years and it will be nice to hit my 20 year mark and retire. i'm ready to do something else.

Well Lets see. My dad said if I wanted anything he wasn't’t willing to provide (there was a LOT of things) Then I had better get my but out and earn the money for them. There was no such thing as an allowance.:sigh1: So do the lawns, snow shoveling and odd jobs count?
Well the first paycheck job at 15 was working a summer for the school district. I never put another piece of gum under a desk again!
At16, the police department, washing ambulances and squad cars.
Till 18 at the local green house. Do you know how hot it gets in a four ft. high lean too in the middle of the day?! Yes! Yes I do!
After graduation worked at a dinner/truck stop third shift. Place was dead almost died of boredom. Lucky for me there was a place to stop and get reading material on the way there. Lets just say that if I said, what am I supposed to do just stare out this window all night? The answerer is yes and I say I quit, before she said I was fired. Does this count as the only mark against me? Well she kept my magazines, I mean reading material! The look on her face as I rubbed against her sports car bumper backing out was price enough! Yes the officer told me I could go after she went up one side of me and down the other then tried to do the same to the officer!
Took a trip, settled in Chattanooga Tennessee for a while. Two jobs, one at the seafood dept. of a grocery store. The other at a Baskin Robins ice cream shop. Yes there were benefits!
Then back closer to home in Milwaukee WI. Full time day job of working in the JC Penny catalog return outlet. I put the things people returned together so they could be put out for sale. Yes I am a true man, I don’t need no stinking directions or manuals! All the parts weren’t there? That’s OK there is always something left over after putting something together, I’ll just go look in the parts box. This is the job I was told I HAD to take my breaks or they would have to let me go. What a concept! Being forced to take a break when you would rather work.
Then it was off to Taco Bell part time nights. If it was a Friday night then a little down time till the hour drive north to do a Saturday – Sunday rout to deliver pictures for a developing company. :burnout:
Decided to move closer to ware I grew up and took a third shift full time job at the developing company with still doing the weekend rout. When a full time day rout opened up I took it. Started doing the rout and was told it should take me eight hours to do the rout. I had no problem doing it in five. This is where the rout manager told me I had to do something to not get back so early or the owner would see that and make him adjust the routs. Asked what the heck I was supposed to do? Waist time? Yes! Take a nap maybe do some shopping! Well this lasted for one day short of seven years. What can I say? The rout grew on me and I became lazy. I mean, a nap during the day and both get paid for it and sanctioned by the bass. Well this job wasn’t paying the bills so I started as a painter.
Man, was this a shock after skating along for seven years and finding you actually have to work! Do I miss the naps! The only eight hours a day, no weekends, and, and, and…..
Thirteen years in May it will be now as a painter. Things are changing now at the family run business. I need and want to make a change to better support my family and for myself. I have been working for another painter anytime there isn’t work for me. Weekends, days there is no work, and even after I have put in a days work with my present employer. He has helped me a lot. Both to get through this winter, and to help me prepare for what I want to do come spring. I will be going into business for myself. So come spring as my boss said I will have to sink or swim. Hopefully those swimming lessons my parents had me attend pays off.

    Tulsa,
If you are expecting any Pachis via UPS Next Day air this week, I'll be flying it in from Louisville!

But alas, I suspect shipping a pachi by air would be $MUCHO DINERO$.

Retired three years ago! Worked for nearly 30 years for Sacramento County as an administrator for clean water grants received from EPA, and as a contract officer for County construction contracts and consultant agreements.

Prior to that, (that was a long time ago) worked for a while for City and County of San Francisco for Registrar of Voters prepping voting machines for elections. Floated around in the Coast Guard for a bit too.

Currently I'm playing with Numbers as an Accounts Adminstrator for a family company involved in the Construction Industry.....

I only offered to help them out when their previous staff let them down big time and I've been trying to escape ever since!!

Previous to that I had plans to:
Star in the West End - but had to give up the Dancing Career,
Form a Rock Band - but needed to learn to sing first,
Play Archealogist - Most work for love and I needed to earn money, so.....
Become a Dietician - and I almost managed this one

    oh well.........

Amazing how many jobs lowly computer programmers do.
I am sorry to say I am one also...

In my job I program, do system analysis, project plan, data base analysis, handle auditor requests, do software tech support, system administration, documentation, system flow analysis, manage contractors, change management and version control, manage and schedule meetings.

With all the SOX and SDLC compliance stuff I think I code one line a week.
