Default Just bought my first machine

    Hi all!

I just picked up a Mole Set V of Flower/CR花のもぐら組V, at least that's what I got from the translation of the only site I could find for this machine. It didn't come with any balls, and I believe it's missing the transformer. I have no idea what voltage of transformer I should look for, and there seem to be some missing wires. I was also wondering if anyone had a suggestion of where I could find more information about this machine (Preferably in English as I don't speak any other languages LOL).

    Thanks in advance all!

All modern machines run on 24vac power. So you would want a transformer to suit rated at 5A should be safe enough. Missing connections might just be parlour outputs so hopefully nothing to worry about

As stated by Drunkenclam...24vac tra sformer. Stay tuned, and ask any questions you have. There are no manuals for these machines, this is the best place to find answers!
You will need at least 1000 balls. Get clean engraved pachinko balls if yours are rusty. Not all pachinko balls are engraved...but it is a sure thing theyare correcy if they are.
    And, most importantly...WELCOME TO PACHITALK!

It appears to be a kenrimono style gameplay machine! Kinda neat as those are more rare than your typical digipachi...I'm jealous. Good luck with getting it running again!

    Looks like a kenrimono!

It would probably help to read this, the "rules" to kenrimono pachinkos are similar:

    neat machine..

perfect advice above.. you could start with as few as 500 balls but if you like it and play if more then a few mins at a time getting 1000 is the best way to go..

    and of course

    A little bit of overkill @ 5A? I thought most were 4A?

But here is one at 10A

I have a line on a 24VAC 100VA transformer, is that going to be enough or should I stick to 120VA?

Also, did some more investigation, I found a burn mark on the circuit board behind this assembly:

I'm guessing either the previous owner, or the one before that, tried just plugging the machine in with the dangling cord, kinda a bummer. I'll work on getting the board out and checking out if there's more than just a black area.

    Thanks in advanced!

    100va should be fine.

Oops. Sounds like someone plugged it straight into the mains without a transformer

So it turns out that it's more than just a black area. One plug is fused to it's pins, the burn spot is one side of a resistor, and there's a trace that's pretty much gone.

I've read that you can solder a thin wire to either side of the broken trace to "repair" it. I was wondering if there was a certain gauge of wire that should be used because I have also read that traces are kind of fuses in that they'll blow before causing a fire or something like that.

    Thank you!

something small.. i did this kind of repair a few years back..

use small solid wire instead of reg wire that has many strands.. the sold wire was stiffer and easy to bend and hold into place.. careful you dont melt the trace wire when trying to heat it.. hence using small gauge wire for the bridge.. also make sure your solder blobs dont fall onto another trace creating a short..

Hey all! Been awhile! I was wondering if a 24v ~4.8A computer power supply would work for a transformer. Thank you in advanced!

Yeah, in re-reading previous posts I realized that a computer power supply won't work because it is a DC power supply...
