Cranky Condor newbie needs help with stop buttons

Hello! I am so glad I found this forum.

Hubby purchased a Cranky Condor machine at an estate sale. Everything seems to work except the stop buttons. They do not light up, nor do they work. The reels eventually stop (after about 45 seconds). Neither of us are mechanically inclined, but I'm willing to learn

Is this a common thing?

We were fortunate enough to have all three keys and a few tokens.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not a pachislo expert, but some things you can do is check connectors..Unplugging and reseating connectors can often help..Also check for any pinched or cut wires.. I also believe there are usually LEDs somewhere on the inside that turn on and off when buttons are pushed that can be used to see if things are working right..Hopefully someone that actually knows what they are taking about will be along sometime that can help you!!

Although not all stop buttons work the same, it is not too difficult to remove and inspect them. This is especially true on an older machine like Cranky Condor. I would first follow the advice above and if your results are unsatisfactory, take a look at some steps I posted a while ago that really helped my old machine.

Thanks everyone! I will follow your advice and tell you how it goes. I so hope it works. This could be a really fun machine if I don't have to wait FOREVER for the reels to stop
