Default UK pachinko collectors- please say hi !

    Hi guys,

Is there a group for UK people who collect pachinkos? Or mailing list etc?

It would be great to make some contacts, share experiences, and perhaps sell and buy machines easily.

    Many thanks,
    Jo.

Well the group for UK people is right here!!

The UK based members that are usually here every day are member Drunkenclam in the post above

and myself (Site Admin so have to be here every day )

there are also a few UK members that may pop in from time to time too

Sometimes when they have pachis for sale, so that is a good way to see what is on the market

Member Drunkenclam has been known to sell his pachis but I have never sold one of my babies

If you're looking for a specific model or theme then just post and ask and you may find advice on where to buy, locate etc

Yep Ebay is my shop window. Free to offers outside of it, minus 10% off list price, after that it's up for discussion.

Awesome- thanks guys. Nice to know there's a good number of Blighty people around.

I'm a hoarder, but have got a few machines to sell +/- repair. A lovely Star Wars that I can't fix if anyone wants a bargain. I need to make a bit of space due to the juggernauts that are pinball machines :-)

I last bought pachinkos in 2012, which is about when I last frequented this forum, would you believe!

Has anything changed significantly in 'pachinko technology' in the last couple of years?

What's wrong with the star wars? I've had all 3 versions at one end point

What changes, hmmm joysticks, unlocking features and storing progress using smart phones and qr codes. Multi layered and moving screens. Vibrating shooter handles.

Awesome! Funhouse is a great game. I only have RFM now (of the two P2Ks), but received MMR last Monday, my first NIB for ages, and Martin from Pinballnews.com was here today to review it! I love the humour in MM, as I do in RFM.

But space... definitely the biggest enemy in UK houses. I envy the Americans their basements.

I don't have any pachislos, but pretty much everything else on your list. Got into vintage machines last year too (Allwins type things), the precursors to pachinko I guess.

Which is why every British man deserves his own shed! Mine was built to hold 8 pinball machines, and is so well insulated that the heat given off by the machines themselves is enough to keep it toasty warm, even in the winter.

Unfortunately changing priorities and household emergencies mean that most of the machines are packed away up on their ends right now, with half of the kitchen and other junk packed in beside them. Which reveals the downsides of the Pin2000 machines, they take as much floor space 'folded up' for storage as they do when they are set up to play (got both of them here as well!).
