Default Half Gauge Hokoku Toyokuni with ball lifter (Round 5)

Up for observation is a machine I am sure everyone has seen. After nearly 2 years I finally got Tokyo Uhee to come back to earth in price (well at least the moon) so I figured it to be my Xmas present.

So here is my Hokoku Toyokuni Half Gauge 1965 with ball lifter. I feel I got ripped off……… it is only half a machine AND no bells. Just kidding of course (really doesn’t have bells though). Two things I’d say make this machine a hard one to find are 1. the ball lifter and 2. It's a half gauge.

I have a new technique for metal cleaning now that lets me get close to a mirror like finish. Another nice item was my plastic reproduction of the Hokoku emblem; turned out awesome.

Really wanted to repaint the center “2 shiki” metal plate due to a touch of rust. Couldn’t do it though. I really wanted to keep everything original that I could while still restoring the machine to a level I think it should be at. Many an argument on pachitalk as to what is a restore and to what level a machine should be at.
