Sammy Space Wing HC Error from possible short
I know there was a post from a few years back with the exact same issue, but did not seem to be resolved. Have a Sammy Space Wing that worked fine till I accidentally shorted the coin mechanism which threw the machine into an HC error code. HARD and SOFT resets DO NOT fix the issue nor does turning door key to the left or pressing the odds button on inside of door. Hopper is working properly and I don't believe it to be the sensor on the hopper. Could I have shorted out something on the master board? If so, does anyone know a way to rectify this or do I need to replace something. Other notes: If I disconnect the hopper from the power source, The game with operate most normally. Payouts go to credits, etc. ALSO: top fluorescent in front door is not lighting up since the short, but tested and bulb is good. I can unplug wiring and get the machine to go to an E1 error and this can be HARD reset, but the HC error comes back immediately. Hopper will start spinning on its own. If I drop a token into the hopper, it will spit out 1 and then go into error. Looking for any and all advice. Thanks in advance!
