the only reference to "eye shooting" is paying close attention to the speed a reel is spinning and the patterns that are spinning by.. then learning the timing required to get the real to stop at the desired position based on lots of practice.
the good LT had a machine that he could "eye shoot" any 2 of the 3 reels with nearly 100% accuracy.. it did not matter what 2 reels but shooting the 3rd was impossible cause the machine would delay the stop.. you would push the button and ther would be a longer delay in the reels stopping..

I have tried eye-shooting off and on over the years I've been playing my machines. There are some folks that state that they can; I'm not one of them. The best odds that you have to do it is when you're about to get a bonus round. I've have been successful from time to time. I have never be able to do it during normal play. As Mopar said, the machine with either lag the reel slightly or stop it instantly.
I have not lost my mind. I have it backed up on disk somewhere...
