Default My First IGT Slot, Please Help! Christmas Present for My Son

    Hello everyone!

I have a son with Autism that absolutely loves ALL gaming machines. He loves watching them on YouTube.

I found an IGT Wheel of Fortune Slot Machine that I bought him for Christmas. I need help changing odds so he will win more.

I'm going to upload pictures of it and hopefully a video. I had been playing with trying to change the odds when I took the video. At least I think I was! lol During the video it was hitting just about every play. Not sure if I can get it back to that setting or not.

If anyone could give me some help finding info on this machine I would appreciate it. I know NOTHING about slots!

These pictures uploaded upside down. Don't know why. They're correct on my laptop. I'll try to upload more pictures and video in the next post.

    first off

    Welcome to Pachitalk

second, nice machine. as stated above, that is a neat machine

third. this is the procedure for changing the odds and doing a full reset..
    ---------------------
In order to do a full reset or change odds, machine must be in idle mode with no tokens or credits being played.

Locate internal toggle switch (red tipped or silver with on/off tabs) or insert key into internal key switch (if your machine came with 2 keys).

Machine must be turned OFF. Turn key clockwise or flip reset toggle switch to the "ON" or "ODDS" position. Turn main power switch ON to access programming mode.

A number from 1 to 6 will be displayed on the CREDIT meter on the front door or on a display inside the door.

Locate the reset button. This will be located on your power supply. On SAMMY brand models, the button is on the inside of the door only.

Depress the button and notice movement of number being displayed on the credit meter. Once the desired level is displayed (1 to 6) pull "spin reels" handle (black or red knob on front door) down, like you are going to spin the reels, to lock odds level into machine memory.

Turn key switch back or flip toggle to "OFF" or "PLAY" position. Machine should immediately initialize. You will know the machine initialized if the "Insert Medal" light starts flashing. If not, make sure you remembered to press down the "SPIN REELS" lever. If it still doesn't initialize, turn power to the OFF position, wait 15 seconds and turn power switch back to ON position.
    --------------------------------------------------

Well, I can see the pics in the first post but not the second. I'm uploading them to my Photobucket account and I'll share them from there.

I'm also uploading a video to YouTube and will also share it.

    Thanks!

I remember seeing a serial number last night but I didn't think to write it down. I've got it in my bedroom at the fire station to keep my son from seeing it until Christmas. I'll get the number on Thursday when I work and post it then.

Will the S/N help with identification? Is there somewhere I can look it up?

Also, just curious, I gave $200 for it and I feel like I got a good deal if for no other reason because I know it will make my son happy. But, I was just wondering about what it's worth. It's missing the lock on the front and I don't have any keys to reset it. It has about 500 or more tokens and it seems to be in pretty good shape. Just needs a light dusting.

the number will be on the belly glass, they were a limited production model in Japan because IGT had to pay copywrite use fees.

    $200.00 was a fantastic deal

    Congratulations on your new machine.

It was paying out on every spin because you won a Big Bonus Round. If you notice in your video, in the Bonus Count display, it reads 3-30. That means you get 3 Bonus Rounds of 8 spins, winning 15 tokens for each spin and 30 Bonus Game spins.

Each time you spin, the 30 count goes down one. You will win 1 token on each spin. When you land on 3 replay symbols, this is called "Jac-In" and this is when you go into one of the 3 Bonus Rounds. After 8 spins the machine goes back to the Bonus Game, Showing 2 as the first number,(meaning you have 2 more Bonus Rounds left) and whatever Bonus Game spins you have left.

Not always will you get all 30 Bonus Game spins, before you get 3 Jac-In's. When this machine was released,in 2001, Japanese Law prohibited a machine to pay more than 15 tokens at one time. So, unlike a American slot machine that you win a Jackpot and all the winnings are paid at once. You win Bonus Rounds, 3 rounds of 8 spins, paying 15 on each spin.

well your machine sounds like it has small isues.. but there worth fixing..

now im not a Pachislo guy but 200 for that machine was a good deal.. im sure you could sell it fast for a small profit.. if it were another machine 200 might be a little high.. so if your looking for another look around and make sure you like it..

    either way you scored..

Wayne, Thanks so much! I was just getting ready to ask if you had anything like this and then I scrolled down and saw this!!

By chance, do you have the directions with pictures on changing the odds?

Also, does anyone know where I can get the lock assembly for the door? Right now I'm having to use a screwdriver or butter knife stuck through the hole.

I also need a key for the reset inside the machine. From what I read in an earlier post it seems that the reset key might not be absolutely necessary, is that correct?

Thanks again for the info. My son is going to LOVE this!

    Wayne, YOU ARE DA MAN!!

OK, a couple more questions. 1) I don't have a key for the reset. Is there somewhere I can get a key or a way to reset without the key? 2) There are two little switches below the odds button. What do they do?

I've found a company online http://vegasslots777.com/ Are they a good source for parts, keys, etc.? If not, recommendations?

Thanks again for all the help. Looks like I found the right place to come to!
