Yamasa Neo Pharaoh Zetz volume control help please

Thanks to all for their help on my last thread. The machine is working well.

I found the volume control (mine is located near the top of the door panel). There are two knobs. From the best I can tell, one controls how many of the four speakers actually produce sound, and the other is a volume control. Not sure about that, that's just how it seems to be.

I have gotten the sound down to an actually acceptable level (one notch above mute) EXCEPT for when we push the payout button to have it spit out whatever credits we have. Then the machine's volume rivals that of a train horn. Of course, that's what my nephew likes the best. The rest of the household, however, gets the holy cr@p scared out of them....including the dog. After the burst of sound, a female Japanese voice says two words at an equal decibel level.

Anyone have any ideas why the volume control wouldn't have any effect on that? Is there another control somewhere that I'm missing?

I don't think there is a way to adjust it.

Personally, I've never seen a need to use the payout button. I play the machine down to zero.

If it's a case of the kids pushing the button, just to watch the tokens fall into the tray. Then I'd unplug the button, on the inside of the door. (You don't need a payout button anyway, unless you are planing to open a Parlor).
