Need Some Assistance W a Sophia Single Shot

Gentlemen:

I purchased and am in the process of restoring a Sophia single shot. I've made a great deal of progress, but cannot unveil the machine because I am still awaiting the return of 3-4 key parts from the chrome shop. However, I do need advice on hooking up all the movable parts in the back:

There is a loose rod with an eye loop on its end. I've attached a photo. It works in conjunction with the red seesaw shown in the other photo. I believe it needs to hook onto a gray seesaw below, but I am unsure. Can you please take a look at the attached photos and give me some direction?

In the picture below: It goes on the back of the part the red arrow is pointing to. (NOT the part colored green) Should be a peg on the back side closest to the green part. Seems like you probably lost the E clip that holds it on.

Thanks for the information. I did take it apart and saw the area you described. Unfortunately, and the reason I didn't have the E clip, the small post on the rear was broken so, even if I had the E clip, it wouldn't hold in place.

It looks like I will have to get a replacement piece. Do you know what that part is called?
