    Default 1955 Hokoku

Hopefully I didn't over step this restore with a different background. I just get bored sometimes with the one or two color backgrounds on my 40s and 50s machines. Sometimes I keep em original and sometimes a try one like this. I got this machine for the right price.................. free. It did not have the frame nor the brackets that hold it to the frame. I had a few single shot machines laying around so I was able to steal the wingnut brackets off one to add to a new frame I built.

Another fantastic restoration. I'm on the fence about the background on this one. I'll have to see it in person sometime to make a final decision. I agree that solid colors can be a little boring sometimes. I really liked the red backgrounds with the umbrella and the cherry blossoms on the set of machines you did earlier this year. Great work, Mr. Al.

    Ohhh I really like it!!

There is a lot of purpley shades and a feminine image

I think the pale wood against the cell art really draws the eye in to the design

and not to mention you rescued something, that was free, and turned it into something beautiful

LOL yeah I think the consenses is it's not good. Sometimes its hard to tell what it will look like until you pay for printing and put it together. Then it's like ohhhhh #@$& or woo hoo. Oh well I still kinda like it, but will not try something that extreme on an oldy again
